Name: Minamoto no Tametomo, aka: “Chinsei Hachiro Tametomo” and "The Subjugator of Demons" Class: Archer Appearance:https://i.imgur.com/h3uTNfU.jpg Personality: A willful, fearless, confident, and brave man who proudly charges forward for whatever he believes is right...even if that should cost him much in the process. In fact, depending on his master’s disposition and ideas he might listen to them more or less! Even so he has the mortals and certain sense of duty that he feels responsible for his master, and bears a keen mind and eye that have been seasoned by the course of his life. Whilst he reflects on his own more headstrong youth and subduing of Kyushu under his own band of warriors as ‘reckless and childish’, at the same time he does admit he did a rather similar thing as an adult and still holds a certain nostalgia “for the rush of those old rebellious days” before he “grew up”. Stats: Strength: B Endurance: B Agility: A+ Mana: C Luck: C Noble Phantasm: B+ Class Skills: Independent Action: A -The ability to remain independent even when rejecting the Magical Energy supply from one's Master; the ability that allows for action even in the absence of the Master. At higher ranks, it is also possible to remain for extended periods of time in this world without an established contract. It is both useful and troublesome depending on the disposition of the Servant and the rank of Independent Action. Acting in autonomy from the Master's Magical Energy supply, the Master can concentrate their own Magical Energy on large spells, or the Servant will be fine even in the case they cannot supply Magical Energy due to injury. The downside is that they can be harder to control and keep by their side, making the only true way to command them is by utilizing Command Spells. It is possible to take action even without a Master. However, to use Noble Phantasms of great magical energy consumption, backup from the Master is necessary. At Rank A, it is possible for a Servant to stay in the world for about a week without a Master. Magic Resistance: B -Grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected. Personal Skills: Almighty Bow: A -A skill encompassing and embodying the legendary archery skills of the demon-conquering archer Minamoto no Tametomo, best noted by his feat of felling/sinking a Taira ship with just one shot and one arrow. Another feat evidencing his prodigious skills was Tametomo’s feat of pinpoint shooting a star off of the helmet of his brother during the Siege of Shirakawa-den, before the arrow continued through and pierced right through a gate further behind. Further, in the same battle impaling a samurai through with a spear-sized arrow that in the same shot moved on to pierce the sleeve of said samurai’s younger brother who had been behind him. With this skill, both the power and capability of Tametomo’s attacks made with a bow are mighty indeed. He can shoot even minute targets with great power, and due to this skill all attacks he makes with a bow (like the one he naturally carries as his weapon) are always treated as A ranked attacks. Hell Fear: A -The skill of one who has subjugated, dominated, or otherwise slain the demonic, taking the form of an anti-demonic skill as a result. This is a skill that empowers all attacks made against the demonic, whether it be demonic swords or individuals with partial demonic attributes or even things like proper oni and such ilk, as well as reducing all damage received from demonic sources. Anecdotes of one’s legend can lead to other potential negative debuffs applied by this skill. Minamoto no Tametomo singlehandedly intimidated, subjugated, and ruled over an island of demons near to the place where he had been exiled (Onigashima). Uprooting a tree with one hand as they all tried to rush him and kill him, doing so as easily as if he were pulling a weed, he told them to serve him with him as their master...or he’d beat them all into little pieces himself. Following this the entire island of demons immediately surrendered, becoming his subjects and he their master and king. When in battle, a rank-up is applied to all damage done to the demonic while a rank-down is applied to all damage done to the weidler by the demonic in turn. Further, demonic existences are afflicted with a constant mental attack due to Tamemoto’s presence and anecdotes of his legend, a mental attack which drives them instinctually and strongly to want to flee and run away from him. Battle Continuation: C+ -is a Skill that allows for the continuation of combat after sustaining mortal wounds. It will also reduce mortality rate from injury. This Skill represents the ability to survive and/or the mentality of one who doesn't know when to give up, consisting of one's strength of vitality in predicaments. It is also one of the powers of a vampire. The best result is achieved when a resilient body is combined with this Skill. Capable of continuing to fight, even when crippling injuries are sustained. In life, Minamoto no Tametomo had the sinews of both of his arms cut to prevent him from using a bow after the Siege of Shirakawa-den. Yet not only did he heal and recover from the supposed crippling of his archery skills, but that his arms were now stronger and longer than before and improved his archery capabilities even further. Due to this anecdote about his mighty vitality, when recovering from his injuries the affected areas will heal up improved and stronger than before (aka, this is the odd bit where the “+” applies). Noble Phantasm(s): Name: Sinking Shot, “To Fell An Whole Ship In One Blow” Rank: B+ Type: Anti-Army/Anti-Ship Appearance/Effects: A Noble Phantasm that re-creates the greatest archery feat of Minamoto no Tametomo, who single-handedly sunk a ship with a single arrow after years in exile and despite his severed sinews. A pinnacle of martial skill sublimated into a penetrating attack, firing an arrow that streaks through the air with an almighty destructive force that on impact it explodes with great power. Or in other words, this is the kind of attack one might expect from a railgun...an attack that carries such potent force behind it that it is easily capable of punching through, destroying, and sinking an entire ship in a single shot. The ‘plus’ modifier applies when this Noble phantasm is used against an actual watercraft of some kind, or even targets who are upon a watercraft of some kind, as is fitting to this servant’s legend. The kind of individual who seems more easily approachable, and a stranger might be willing to speak with on the fly. That being said, her true nature deeper down is the kind of hard-worker who throws herself into whatever she does with a smile. She is also the type of extrovert who can be rather headstrong at times, and is the sort of overbearing person who is willing to grab some random friend's or acquaintance's hand and drag them off to some other activity without a second thought. Despite her seeming positivity and lust for life, however, when she angers she does so in a patient, passive-aggressive manner. For example, she could drop a stone-cold and deadly serious threat while disturbingly smiling at you as if nothing is wrong. Abilities: -Proficient Gun Skills (Just with her Tanegashima-Style Matchlock Gun Mystic Codes) -General Magecraft, Fire Magecraft, Tanegashima (Family) Magecraft -First Aid (Basic) History: One of five children born to her parents, and as the heir to the Yamamoto, Izumi's life was one of plenty and hard work in their expansive and isolated estate near Mount Fuji. For as many of the years of her life as could be squeezed in by her parents, she has been drilled in magecraft and usage/creation of the tools of her family's craft. She and her siblings were taught to support each other and form a bond, in order to form the framework for the next generation, though the weight of responsibility upon her in better perfecting and then passing down her family's craft was ever weighed upon her shoulders. Most of Izumi's life so far has been without any big incidents or issues, and her mundane school life outside of diligent training has been rather standard. However, as of late her being chosen by the Holy Grail has thrown her into an unexpected and interesting situation to be sure. A ritual conjuring heroic spirits, and something about an object granting one's wish? What her family could dig up, at least, gave some background for what was to come. As such Izumi has been packed up, prepared, and sent off to this little place in the middle of nowhere in the Gifu Prefeecture...a heroic spirit by this point by her side. Were she to achieve such a promised miracle from this situation, it could be used to elevate her family's craft to perfection in her generation alone. Hundreds of years of work, completed by cheating to get the information needed granted by some magical device. Even so, her top priority has been labeled as 'to survive, resolve things, and get home in one piece at the very least'. Whilst a wish would be valuable, to lose their art in the process would be even worse. Other: -Family: An odd Japanese magus family, who originally were smiths that got involved in the making of Tanegashima guns in the mid-1500s, before a traveling western mage from Germany came through and ultimately introduced them to magecraft. From here they continued the study of magecraft in the main family, whilst the branch family continued to make guns as a front and to keep income going through the era of the Sengoku Jidai. Come the Tokugawa Shhoguns and the Sakoku, they retreated inwards on their Fuji-based estate and built it up into a great mansion complex. Meanwhile, they were left stuck with a cache of Tanegashima guns which would become outdated antiques and rare ones at that made by their family. By the time the Meiji Restoration came around, they'd married in at least two foreign mages from Germany into their bloodline order to build ties and resource networks in the West as well as improve their own magecraft. They have become mages who still to this day make matchlock Tanegashima from the ground up as mystic codes, and have a store of antique guns on the side to experiment with in regards to their magecraft to boot. However, unlike many other mages they are unorthodox in that they do not have a goal to access The Root. Rather, they take pride in their focus on the ever-moving progression and perfection of their craft. The perfect magical firearm, the perfect magical ammunition, and the overall perfection of an art in preparation, creation, and execution of it. Or in other words, a kind of enlightenment found in the perfection a craft. They create their own magecraft-tweaked ammunition at home with varying effects, ranging from exploding mightily on impact to a homing curse to even non-lethal things such as applying a healing spell to the target. Then since the gun is already a properly made Mystic Code, it is just a matter of pulling the trigger and this will fire the shot. -Other Family Info: A very unorthodox magecraft-wielding family, bearing multiple children to help take on various roles. One could take this as old traditions hey had and the concept of a mage somewhat fusing into a highly abnormal pattern of things over time, though where things became as they are has become muddied and hard to figure out. What is known is that from a young age a certain sense of 'community' in the family is enforced among them each generation, with each generation seeking to continue to develop and work on their family's art. One would be the heir to their crest, leading the rest of the family in their pursuit, whilst others would take up roles as dedicated smiths and craftsmen, public faces, and the ilk. Due to all of this, they are seen as trivial abnormalities who aren't worth really any note at all. At least, save for the family head's general involvement in the Creation Department. -Equipment: Both of her personal Mystic Codes, in the form of her own Tanegashima matchlock rifle and matchlock pistol respectively. Includes equipment to use them in the rain. A small array of ammunition types for her Mystic Codes. Money and a Cellphone for communication. Basic essentials like clothes and such.
