We now have an Echo and several Echo dots in our house. They serve the purpose of an intercom system. I can call my children downstairs for dinner without yelling. I can also listen to any song or radio station I want to. When I was in Colorado Springs, Colorado I used to listen to KILO 94 (94.3 FM). I now live in Eastern Massachusetts and listen to that radio station frequently. It is kind of cool hearing ads from CS, CO.
