Even looking back at previous posts I'm not sure how it would have lost a hand... Am I missing something? But either way, if you want to we can say that Marcus snapped its wrist hard enough to actually break off its left hand when he escaped its grasp? If so its hand would indeed just grow back pretty much instantly and it would still end up assaulting him with both hands intact.
