She's lean although she's stronger than she looks considering she's danced for most of her life. Health problems: She's legally blind and has a service dog named Barley although she can usually read on her own with her glasses.
Personality: Alana is unusually down to earth for her age, although she tends to be snappish to people she thinks are wasting her (or their own) time. She has an analytical mind and is perceptive of just about everything but people. She's not very good at deciphering feelings which makes it difficult for her to make friends but she's extremely loyal to the ones she does make. She doesn't like to get visibly angry in front of other people but it doesn't make her afraid to argue with them.
Brief Bio: Alana is the daughter of Peruvian immigrants with her dad being ethnically Japanese. Her family is working class and usually manages to keep afloat with her mom's job as a social worker and her dad's as a teacher. She's the youngest of 3 siblings and has always achieve more than them. To earn her scholarship, she managed to get a spot as a research intern at the school's university and helped to create a better cancer treatment. Her parents put her through dance most of her life and while she doesn't expect to do it professionally it is a passion of hers.
