[@Eviledd1984] Maybe just a biologist, not a doctor? I have already introduced an NPC who is a leading biologist on the ship, but maybe D'artgnan could be his teammember? It wouldn't be a problem to go to the current expedition instead of his arrogant boss :) I would leave out the part about being knowledgeable about flora, since that is Elm's part, but just focusing on all sorts of alien animals and creatures will still leave a big area to move around.
