[indent]For the last few centuries, The Kingdom of Taku has stood as the largest kingdom-state within the western reaches of what has come to be known as the lands of the Earth Kingdom due to Ba Sing Se’s gradual growth through several political alliances and conquests. It is, much like Omashu, one of the few independent realms following Ba Sing Se’s ascension. For those of the Cai Dynasty, they have known that their safety and independence was always situational. Meifeng is the eldest daughter of the current ruler of Taku, Shan Cai, and the only one of adult age. As such she has had to suffer through a life of expectations yet has always been told to temper her own ambitions.
