Thank you for explaining. Sam (the necromancer) is someone who I generally have go into some sort of detective work, so the whole agent idea would actually make a lot of sense for his character. Besides that, he's very intelligent and dedicated to his studies and has probably been on the dean's list every year he's been there, so he would have the prominent name thing down too. I don't think he would have much trouble getting in. 

Sol, on the other hand, is more the party type than the studying type and would not have as good a reputation or as good grades as his brother. I would be surprised if he managed to get in. 

While the 3rd triplet, Vynn, doesn't fall into the esoteric category, I'm not sure his abilities technically qualify as magic. 

So seems the obvious choice is Sam. xD
