Dayvt found her in possession of a Diancite, and is helping her journey to become a Diancie. Signature moves: Trick Room, Dazzling Gleam, Reflect, Secret Power Personality: Dayvt is an adventurous young lad who didn't start his career as a pokemon trainer until a bit later than most, but it allowed him to absorb more knowledge and experience even before he obtained his first pokemon. He enjoys listening to stories and collecting lore as much as he likes battling. He can be a bit vengeful against people he thinks are bad, but he also tries to be honorable. While smart enough to approach most things cautiously, he's still the type who would go into a obviously dangerous situation just for the fun of it. Background: A young man from Hoenn. He grew up in Dewford Town and his parents were avid jewelers, making various accessories and such using the minerals and stones collected from the nearby Granite Cave, as well as other materials they could dig up. Growing up Dayvt learned the trade but was more interested in exploring the caves rather than digging up rocks. He would watch the pokemon go about their lives, sometimes helping but usually only watching. When he was ten years old he went with his parents to Rustboro City for business, and it was there that Dayvt really begin to get interested as a pokemon trainer. While there was a gym in Dewford, his parents didn't allow him to go there because they thought he was too young. But at Rustboro, there was a trainer school, and Dayvt was quick to beg his parents to let him join it. They were hesitant at first, but after talking to the Rustboro gym leader, arrangements were made for Dayvt to join the school and learn more about pokemon and pokemon battling. Dayvt attended the school for a whole year, becoming quite a capable student. His teacher, Roxanne, saw much promise and gifted him an egg to take care of. She told him that if he can make sure the egg hatches, it would mean he is ready to finally become a trainer. And so Dayvt made sure to take care of the egg while continuing his studies. After almost a year the egg would hatch into an Aron, becoming Dayvt's first pokemon. Thanks to his time at the school, Dayvt was able to tutor his Aron, who he named Gren, some moves he thought would be great for him, such as Rollout and Endevour. Dayvt and Gren grew quite close to one another and complimented each others personality fairly well. Dayvt was adventurous and willing to try new things, while Gren was tough but careful and knew how to make sure both he and Dayvt were safe at all times. As the school year was about to end, Dayvt was given one final test to see how well of a trainer he'll be. And that test was simple: he had to catch a pokemon. Different pokemon from around the Hoenn region were brought to the school and put in simulated environments to test Dayvt's knowledge about pokemon and their habitats. He choose to look in a sand area simulating a dessert. He figured that such a location might whip up a sandstorm, which he knew would boost Gren's resistances if they run into any enemies who would attack Gren's weaker special defenses. What he found instead was a cacnea who was roaring to throw down with Gren. It was Dayvt's first battle, and to him it was always going to be a memorable one. He knew what a cacnea was capable of and figured that Gren's sheer bulk would be enough, but the Cacnea was a tough plant to put down. Eventually though it was weak enough for Dayvt to capture, earning him his first captured pokemon. In commemoration, he named the Cacnea Spike, for her rather notable spikes on her body. After graduating from the trainer school, Dayvt sailed back to Dewford Island to show his parents his graduation papers as well as his new pokemon. For a while he stayed with his parents since he was waiting for his Pokedex to come in the mail. One day while Dayvt was in the Granite Cave exploring with his pokemon, he spotted some Sableyes. He was going to just watch them at first until he noticed they had dug up some sort of giant crystal. That crystal turned out to be a pokemon, and it was getting eaten by the Sableyes! Before Dayvt would've just watched, as this was a natural part of pokemon life, but now he had pokemon himself and he wasn't going to stand idly by. So he brought out Gren and together they were able to save the crystal pokemon and drive off the sableyes. After taking the pokemon back home to his parents, they were quite interested in what it was. Dayvt himself didn't know, as he's never seen it in any books at the trainer school his parents were interested in the gemstones it seems to be made out of when his father noticed a particularly odd rock. That's when he found the mega stone. Dayvt had heard of Mega Stones before but this was the first time he's ever seen one in person. After some research, he learned that this pokemon was called a Carbink, and the stone itself was called a Diancite. He started doing a bit more research on the pokemon on the computer, and after he got his pokedex he gained more information about what a Carbink was. The whole time, Dayvt was doing his best to take care of the Carbink as well. She seemed to trust him well enough, but at the same time she seemed very restless. Eventually after a few years of research and helping his family's business, Dayvt became old enough that he decided it was time for him to leave. He'd been training his pokemon at the Granite Cave as well as at the Dewford Gym and felt that they were now strong enough that Dayvt could go off on his own now. More importantly, he learned of a phenomenon that might help his Carbink, who he named Dia, that could transform her into a Diancia. Something which seemed to be Dia's personal goal as well. Before he left his parents gifted him one final thing: A Mega Bracelet. His parents had to use a lot of their connections to get one for him, but they were proud of Dayvt finally being able to go out into the world and taking care of himself. After a fond farewell, Dayvt left his home of Dewford Town and headed to the Rorie Islands, where he intends to not only help Dia's personal goal of transforming from a Carbink to a Diancia, but also become a great pokemon trainer himself. Other: Dayvt's pretty good with his hands and likes working with metals, though despite his training as a jeweler he actually hates having to set stones. Dayvt also has a PokeNav Plus, which he's almost constantly on. Dayvt owns a Mach Bike to get around. Despite being from Dewford Town, Dayvt is actually a terrible swimmer and dislikes being in the ocean. He hopes to catch a water pokemon one day who can ferry him across any body of water so he doesn't have to swim himself. With Dia's help, Dayvt often makes secret bases for him and his pokemon to camp out at when they're traveling.
