Emily could only make a duck noise. Eric could only make a toad sound. Then, they both gave saddened looks. They had no human voices when they turned into animals. If one could read their thoughts, they could communicate that way. But, alas, they doubt that anyone had such an ability. 


Emily simply wondered back to where she and Eric had been hiding. She tried to drag the book to Aela with her beak.
