Emily blinked. Eric blinked. There was that human confusion in their eyes. They were silent, and not just because they could not talk. They watched as Aela continued to read the passage, but she read it out loud for them to hear. 



Emily wished that she had a voice so she could think out loud and be of help. Eric felt the same way. They would have both sighed at that point if they were not in animal bodies. 



They could only managed to glance at each other, and then at her again.
