His smile is reserved for those who he deems deserving of it. He could have put the Grinch to shame with his cold and menacing attitude. To put it simply, Nikolaus is serious and also extremely quiet. There are a few hunters who have never heard him speak. Sometimes he can go hours without talking to anyone and be the happiest man alive. His sarcasm rolls off his tongue as dry humor, while his wit is sharper than a whip. Despite his core of steel, a big heart lies buried deep inside. His loyalty is not easily won, but once it is, he will become ride-or-die. His resourcefulness surprises most - but his strongest trait is his bravery. He will seemingly go to any lengths to save those he cares for whilst being responsible. Nikolaus's cunning nature comes naturally as well but only for hunting purposes. His ambition is not too strong, though it's been pushed by his father. He is also arrogant and borderline cocky; it's a show, though, and to make himself laugh. Deep down, he's bashful and awkward when it comes to sincere flattery or affection, something he's never had. There is more than meets the eye with Nikolaus that he doesn't leave on the surface. [color=A2ADD3]》[/color][color=A9A8AF]History[/color] Born as the son of decorated Operation Humanity Hunter, Nikolaus's childhood began under a strict regimen and gritty life lessons. He was five when Trotter started "conditioning" his son to become one of the deadliest hunters alive. At adulthood, Niko had become a product of vigorous physical training and supernatural study. To Niko, it was never enough when it came to proving his worth to his father. He wanted to be the best. He needed to be the best. So when his father presented him with the opportunity to undergo experimentation, he took with the impression that he was on the path to being a hero to humans and a monster to those who were not. After experimentation, he noticed that he was considered an "Asset" and had more restrictions. This was all part of the plan, he would tell himself. It was also during this time that he met Angel Beaumont, a fellow asset that couldn't be more opposite to him.
