It didn't very much matter, as she was physically incapable of eye contact, but it made people more uncomfortable to have somebody looking away from them and talking than facing them and talking with their eyes shut. Beth had, luckily, gotten very good at recognizing voices, and knew Miss Bautista was the one prodding for her attention. Dismounting the elevator, she teasingly said, "Sounds like you're going soft and calling it kindness." In reality, she knew there was a deep difference between those two things, but she'd be damned if she just handed advice out. "While I'd love to join you, I'm sure with this new leaf you're turning over you'd just be puppies and rainbows to have dinner with, the world is unfortunately ending, and the Thanes may care about that." She said matter-of-factly, but did continue to say, "Save me a seat though, I'll be back over shortly." And with that, she broke off from Dalisy, and headed towards the Thane's table. Not too much of a fan on the Americans, she opted to talk to Leif Erikson, "I've received a vision, Ragnarok is coming, Hel has captured Baldur in Eljudnir, you might want to do something about that." She dryly remarked.
