I had two ideas. The first is a younger brother who was old enough to have a good enough relationship with Andy but young enough to not remember him very well. The next part depends on parentage but I thought of maybe having him being kind of rebellious when he was a teen because of various reasons to do with how his parents acted throughout the years and now he’s just seen as a slacker who needs to stop playing in his silly band and get a job.

Other idea is the girl next door best friend that is a girl. Not a girlfriend at any point but best girl friend. Also, wouldn’t have the stereotypical thing of her having had a crush on him.
