Emily and Eric both looked at Aela. Emily looked nervously towards the back of the cave, where the flame was thrown. Eric did the same thing, thought he did not look as nervous as Emily did. After a few moments, they both looked at Aela again. They could not really nod. But, they did have looks in their eyes that said that they understood. 



Emily went quiet, as if to about to try and rest. Eric did the same thing. They both stayed close to Aela.
