Chapter one

He woke up. Jackson Futane had slept considerably late, waking up at 13:00.
He heard the machines wirring, preparing to ask him what he needed, rather it be coffee, or for a flying schoolbus to Antarctica. Machines were like servants, seeking to always do more and more for their master.
His machine perked up with, "Good morning, sir! What can I start you off with today?"
"Some coffee, and a newspaper, please," Jackson asked.
A small hole opened up in the machine. Out slid a coffee mug, and coffee began pouring into it. When it was filled up, with all of Jackson's favorites, an extendable arm came out and handed him the mug.
"Now, for the news," the machine said," In sports, Michael Cameron won the trophy for his Soccer team, the Journeys. In politics, President Reese has been replaced by Vice president Victorstien-"

Pfft! Coffee sprayed out of Jackson's mouth, onto the floor.
"What?" He asked, with an angry tone
"President Reese has been fired from office."
Angry thoughts filled Jackson's head. President Reese was the reason this country was still going. Now it would fall into darkness once again because of Victorstien.

Bzzzk! The machine glitched. It went out for a second. When it came back on, it's once cheery, green eyes were now a faded gray.

It said in a deep, dark tone," President Victorstien will see you now."
