Eric had fallen unconscious. He was out cold. He had no idea what was going on. He was unaware of Aela trying to heal him, or of the serpent following Emily into the cave. 



Emily screeched. She watched as the serpent seemed to scare off the spider. The landed near Aela and her brother. She gave a worried sounding cry and glanced back at the serpent.
