Appearance: An anthropomorphic male fox, standing at a mere 5'1 and a lithe build. His fur is mostly white, with an almost silver sheen to it, with orange flame patterns on his chest, along with his limbs being orange up to his elbows/knees. His eyes are fully orange, swirling like a hearthfire. He does have a small mane of red fur atop his head, giving him a look of constant bedhead. Nine plush tails sprout from his rear. He wears the Robe of Archon, a relatively tame (by wizard standards) red robe, decorated by golden flame patterns and with a golden belt. His right arm is wrapped in chains which look like they are made of red-hot iron, and give off a similar heat. Race: Tenko, the pinnacle of Kitsune evolution who have ascended to a divine level. Stacks up to 20 at a time, and vanish out of combat. Metamagic - Focused Spell: Costs 3 Arcana Points. Focuses an AoE spell to deal 5x Damage at the expense of only hitting a single target. Pyromancer Untouched by Flame: Gains resistance to Fire damage. Wildfire: Each Fire spell cast reduces cooldown by 10% to a maximum of 70% but also increases MP cost by the same amount. If a spell is not cast within 10 seconds of the previous one this resets. Metamagic - Flame Burst: Consumes 5 Arcana Points. Enhances a fire spell to deal double damage and ignore any Fire Resistances present in a target. Archmage Wisdom of the Ancients: Grants access to Grand Ritual Magic. This is a series of spells requiring either esoteric components, the participation of other Archmages, or both, but their effects are said to shift the world. The Scouring, and it's shifting dimension, are examples of Grand Ritual Magic. Metamagic - Spellweave: costs 10+ Arcana Points. Fuses two spells of equal level together to cast a spell of a higher tier. For each tier beyond 0th, it costs an extra Arcana Point to use. Fire God's Reincarnation One With Flames: Grants Immunity to Fire Damage, though receives a weakness to Water Damage. Divine Pyromancy: Fire spells also deal Holy damage. Metamagic - Phoenix Flare: If downed while possessing 10 or more Arcana Points, you will be revived at 20% health, with immunity to damage for 10 seconds. You cannot attack or use spells during this period. King of the Scoured Lord of Flames: Fire Elementals will not become hostile and will obey any orders given to them. Homeward Bound: Can open a portal to the Scoured so long as he is outside of combat. The process takes an hour. Royal Guard: Can summon six Scoured Elites to him. 1/day Equipment: Robe of the Scoured: Marking him as the ruler of the Scoured, this clothing is actually made from spun flames. Grants high defence for the user, as well as boosting any Fire damage dealt by the party. Chains of Prometheus: Forged, well probably better to say created, from the body of the Fire Elemental Lord Prometheus. The chains burn with the twisting hatred of the fallen lord for his slayers, and act as a potent magical focus. Ring of Alexandria: A ring that was worn by the Lords of Alexandria, marking their right to rule. Grants high resistance to poisons and mental magic. In-Game Backstory: Blaze, or the 'Scoured King' as the Humanoid players call him, joined the game with some friends who had a similar interest to him in history. They formed the 'Library of Alexandria' guild, which didn't discriminate against anyone so long as they had an interest in history, based in the city of Alexandria. For a time, they had peace with their endeavors, scouring the lands in search of lore. Unfortunately, some greedy players began to notice the guild were in possession of higher quality magical items due to their endeavours. This is what led to the Scouring of Alexandria, and Blaze gaining his first rare class. The Scouring of Alexandria was a war... no calling it a war would be legitimizing the actions of the other guilds. It was an Invasion. Fifteen guilds, numbering near a thousand members, swept into the city the Library had made their base in and began slaying all the 'devil worshippers' who lived in the city, looting as they went. The invaders had sheer numbers on their side, so Blaze and the other magi came up with a plan. Using the ancient texts found in the various ruins, dismissed by other players as it was written in an unknown language, they pooled together the combined power of thirteen magic users, to cast the first World-class spell in the game. It literally changed the landscape itself as fire burst from the earth itself, consuming the city and it's environs into lava and spawning hundreds of elementals and other creatures of fire, turning it into the the Scoured. Only four of the casters survived the initial casting, and of those four only Blaze had the resistance needed to survive the spell itself, if only barely. The sheer amount of destruction by his hand, as the others lost access to the achievement by dying, gave him access to the Fire God's Reincarnation class... and set his Alignment to -100. His friends and guildmates left the game soon after, feeling no point in continuing if this situation would just come again. Felix though? He stayed in the Scoured, carving a memorial to not just his guildmates, but all the NPCs that had been slaughtered by the greed of his fellow players. The notifiation he eecoeved for slaying all the NPCs and players had left him with such a sense of guilt, even though he had no choice in the matter. He actually slew the Elemental Lord known as Prometheus whilst trying to locate information on the dead NPCs, the burning chain he created from it was worn as pennance for the creation of the Scouring. He also performed a number of deeds for the dead, helping them to pass on. Oh, and of course he had to slay a number of players who thought they could raid the ruins for rare items. Upon completion of the memorial, his Alignment finally shifted back to positive and he exploded into light as he attained the final evolution of the Kitsune race, along with a new Class. Through his actions at putting the dead to rest and defeating many of the lords of this new area of Fire Elementals, he had become the King of the Scoured. Taking command of the elementals, he changed his guild from the 'Library of Alexandria' to the 'Legion of the Scoured'. With the power of several elemental lords, along with knowledge of ancient magic, he moved the Scoured into another dimension, though at the time Blaze thought he merely moved it to another server, in order to protect the artefacts and the memorial. For a time, Blaze focused purely on enacting vengeance upon the guilds who had forced his hand, unleashing waves of elementals upon their bases, plundering their relics. He even became known among the playerbase as a travelling Raid Boss: The Scoured King. But warfare against other players was not why he played Yggdrasil, and eventually returned to his passion of treasure hunting, albeit backed up by his army of fire elementals. At the time of the Shutdown, Blaze was combing the Crypts of Uther hoping to find out whether they had implemented Excalibur in the game. Scoured NPCs: Faust: Originally made by Blaze's guildmate Raphael as the Library's chief archivist, his role changed in the wake of the Scouring. Originally an Elf, he was turned into a Flame Revenent after being slain in defence of the archives. He possesses a Fallen Paladin Build, based around tanking and dealing damage to his opponents. Amusingly he is now much closer to Raphael's temperament, being quick to anger and not putting up with anyone's bullshit. He protects the library of the Scoured with a fever bordering on fanaticism, so it's best to be careful around the books. Newton Made by Patch Worke, a fellow guild member, this Automaton was one of the only NPCs to survive the Scouring, though he did receive heavy damage. Rebuilt using the cores of five elemental lords, he is now a Hellfire Engine. Like his creator, Patch is a crafting NPC, possessing little beyond the base Fighter class in combat. Patch was created with the personality of Kryton from the series Red Dwarf, one of the man's favourite shows. Emrys According to the character lore, Emrys was the fellow apprentice of Blaze in fire magic. A Scoured Elemental Lord, he acts as a war coordinator for the forces of the Scoured. A similar build to Blaze, he is a powerful DPS based around destroying his foes with flaming death. Scoured Elites Though Nameless NPCs, these level 55 Elementals are the strongest non-lord monsters in the Scoured. They come in three types, Healers, Magi, and Soldiers, each based around a different aspect of the battlefield.
