I was thinking something involving summoning a demon, but then I wanted to go that extra mile and make the summoner (my character) not necessarily a human. You can characterise your character however you want and give them an arc of their own. The synopsis down below is more of a prompt that can be expanded to further detail the world that they're in, so you can definitely count adventure in! I just want that juicy character interaction, whether they become friends, lovers, remain distant, enemies even, etc., haha. »»---------------------►
Synopsis Twenty-one-year-old Liel Nourizadeh is the daughter of a fallen angel and a demon. Despite her angelic heritage, she wasn’t anything particularly special, just a low-ranking “demon” (as she calls herself) socialised as a human and having been raised on Earth, possessing minimal demonic powers and an irritating (in her words) “allergy” to holy properties (e.g. salt, iron, hallowed ground… ahem, angels, etc.). She is hardly known at all by Heaven or Hell (since her parents were quite adamant about her existence being secretive). So when her human best friend, Beatrice Rubiera, is found mysteriously dead in her house the year before with odd symbols etched into her skin, Liel is very suspicious. The authorities guess it was the work of some elusive cult and have since declared it a cold case, but Liel knows better. It was the work of a demon, and after extensive researching and care, she has deduced that her friend had been involved in a contract with it. Why? Her reasons remain unclear. In order to get her friend back, Liel summons a demon (your character) in order to negotiate a contract. In exchange for her spirit (for she is not human and she has no soul in the conventional sense), she asks the demon for help in rescuing Beatrice’s soul from Hell. The demon reveals that a greater and more powerful demon named Nybass has laid claim to her friend’s soul. Liel and the demon will have to work together—Liel is forced to entrust her spirit to the demon, which will in turn strengthen the demon’s power, in order to fight Nybass and rescue her friend’s soul. Shenanigans, of course, will ensue as Liel tries to keep a human façade and stay on the down-low around your character (your character may or may not sense something off, but given that they've made a deal they probably will be able to discern her non-human nature. It's up to you). Even with this contract, can the demon be trusted? Do they have ulterior motives in mind? That’s another possibility that Liel has to consider in the meantime. However, not everything is as it seems. Could there be something bigger and more sinister to the situation at hand than was previously anticipated?
