Situated on a chain of islands off the northeastern coast of Ahmeryca, the kingdom has quite the reputation as a booming trade hub for traveler and merchant alikeā€”a reputation that may suddenly come to an end. Some days ago, a massive shooting star was seen far off in the distance, which many have figured as a bad omen regarding the coming future; something that has even the King and the High Elder worried. Though they feel a need to investigate, their offices and positions keep them bound to the islands, forcing them to look elsewhere for assistance, in particular a group of gifted youth that have yet to take their test of courage that deems them an adult. Coincidentally, you and your Eidolon happen to be among these "gifted youth". Although the reward for completing the task at hand is great, the danger is certainly greater. Will you accept the risk?

[sup]Background Lore[/sup]
Long, long ago, the great sky above had rained fire on the people known only as "the Builders". Their tall, towering buildings were quickly reduced to rubble, sending their people scrambling out of their wasteful enclaves and fleeing for the safety and shelter of forests, mountains and other aspects of nature. Nonetheless, the death toll would far surpass any previous disaster in their history, as the asteroids and meteorites that had successfully crashed into the planet's surface began to hatch mythical yet vile creatures that saw them as a food source. Not all these creatures were horrific, however. Some, dubbed "Eidolons", took to humanity, taking on the form of will-o-wisps, small ent-like creatures, and so on and so forth as they formed a bond with a partner. With them, the Builders would be able to stem the tide long enough to rebuild their crumbling society into something more reminiscent of life from the ancient past, forming feudalistic kingdoms, nomadic tribes and the like. That said, and now several centuries later, much of what happened to the Builders and their achievements has been lost to history or twisted into folklore passed down by generation to generation, so what truly happened depends on where you heard it.

[sup]Out of Character Information[/sup]
Hello, everyone! I'm new here to this site, but I hope you'll give me a chance if my idea sounds interesting to you. The gist here is basically a blend of your typical post-apocalyptic with high fantasy and a coming-of-age story, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask them and I'll try to answer them to the best of my ability.
