The elf watched the girl struggle internally over how to deal with Shalan. It was clear to the elf not to underestimate this child. Small she might be, but she was strong and capable, and clearly distrusting. Though, when she said something about funny business, Shalan tilted her head. Funny business? This phrase was lost on her. There were many phrases the humans used that was confusing to the elf. More often the misunderstood what was described to her as sarcasm. Was this sarcasm? She sat up slowly, letting her cloak fall from round her shoulders. "I only wanted to rest." She told the girl. "If I am trespassing, I apologize. I will gladly move.
