Eric nodded once. 
-"I certainly hope so."
He took a breath. He shook his head. He spoke. 


-"Um....there is no need for thanks."
Eric blinked when she kissed the back of his hand like that. 
-"Um...."
He kissed the back of her own hand in turn. 







Emily blinked. 
"Did it....just speak?"
It was almost like she could understand him. She watched as the snake glanced around outside. She was still confused. 
"....where?"
She was very very quiet when she spoke that thought out loud.
