Korax, First Officer Things had been fairly quite aboard the ship once the two teams left. There were no major engineering problems, no efforts to force entry to the vessel, no calls for help or indicators that something had gone wrong. The crew carried on with their duties as they usually would, a state of normalcy pervading the vessel. It did not last. The return of the envoy team did not thrill, though Korax took the news better than some others might have. They were not the ones who set policy after all, and no doubt this would inspire a fierce debate about sovereignty and other political issues that were beyond its command level. It merely did its job as they prepared to return through the wormhole. Then the shuttle made its appearance, asking them for aid. Korax did not stop the captain from giving the occupant medical aid, as any would in this situation. There was just a larger issue that this brought with it. "Captain," it said, turning to face the commander. "This individual said he was being pursued. This one recommends bringing the ship to alert so as to prepare for a potential confrontation."
