A boy that was too sharp, too clever, and too intelligent for the small town he grew up in. His own personal world was just too dull and boring, which built up a shroud of apathy. His parents sent him to Academy City where he'd be better able to fit in with likeminded kids his age and befriend him. His parents only wanted the best for him, yet it seemed he still couldn't make friends. Shun's intelligence went beyond the norm for even kids of Academy City. Even if the Power Curriculum Program only churned out a Level 2 power for him, it didn't bother him all that much. 

What Shun wanted was something stimulating that would break his apathy and give him something that would truly stir his passion for long times to come. As a result of that pursuit, he engaged in dangerous delinquency that could threaten his life. He's been through some minor adventures in Academy City that got the blood pumping, but nothing truly exciting enough to put a real smile on his face. He only barely kept himself out of the Dark Side because he hasn't explored all of the Light Side.

He had to apply to Hybrid Academy to get the most out of this city. The place where chaos is the norm must be the school that will showcase unpredictable and stimulating elements.

A humanlike slothful apathy that degenerated into an inhuman uncaring personality. Shun treats everyone and everything like blade of grass or a gathering of dust. Unpredictable people garner his interest, but they eventually become predictable after a bit of observation. Anything that stimulates him will reveal a childlike curiosity from him for a moment, but he'll slip back into apathy sooner or later.
