Faith was simply overjoyed to be surrounded by all of her friends. Connie, Mia, Hildiebell, Hilaria, and even her mother was here! And they had friends and even [i]they[/i] had friends. Being part of something so large was almost enough to put Faith in a euphoric state. She sampled the food, she conversed, and for a moment the dread of Lotus’s death had subsided.

Faith felt a bit uncomfortable as she approached Alex. He seemed kind of gruff, and in a relationship he was serious about. But maybe he just felt left out because mother hadn’t kissed him? She would have preferred the bottle pointed her towards anyone else. But it didn’t have to be a kiss on the lips or anything serious.
