She wrapped her arms back around her knees as she pulled her legs closer and tucked her knees under her chin. They protected people from the monsters. But where had they been all this time when her family needed them? "My family is still there. Can you go back for them?"She asked. His shadow was on the table and she could feel his gaze down on her. He was looming over her still. The colonel paused yet again and stated, "Tell me everything that happened as well as your name please. Then we will see what we can do." Angel felt her heartbeat pick up. She fidgeted in her seat, untangling herself from her legs to grip the sides of the chair. "I... My name's Angel."A sob rose in her throat. She swallowed and she glanced up at his face. This was serious and she had to try to do this so they could find Noah. "We... We were going to eat Thanksgiving at my auntie's house... We stopped near this town with big walls because my dad wanted to go look at it. Then lots of people jumped out and started grabbing us. They led us to a building in the town that looked like a prison and they put us in jail. There were a lot of people in jail. We had to stay there for a really long time and they were really mean to us. The people that took us were really monsters; they would bite us and hurt us... They killed my dad and left him there with us for days." She had wanted to be tough in front of them, but tears had started to fall down her cheeks as she struggled to explain the last year to him, her voice quickening with her rising anxiety, "Then mommy started getting really sick and they took her and my sister away. I don't know where they went... So it was just me and my big brother Noah. He's really brave and he would tell the vampires to leave me alone. We tried to escape and then some of the FIB people here grabbed me and he was going the other way-and-and-and-... We have to go get him! Please!"Angel had held it together until the end of her statement when she started to panic, bursting into tears. "I want to go back!" "Easy now."He said, kneeling down to look at the hysterical girl at eye level. He glanced over towards a darkened window that, unbeknownst to Angel, had someone writing everything down behind it. Nathaniel knew they had no time to break it easy to her. He knew exactly for sure she was Angel Beaumont of the missing Beaumont family. Outside of the aunt she had been going to visit, they had no immediate family in close range. He knew what to do now. It had taken him some years to get to a place where he could push his moral reasoning aside to keep working for the sake of humanity. If he didn't, those vampires would be pushing humanity to extinction. His next few statements were enunciated and as harsh as he could make them. There had been no warmth in his expression. "Angel. Your family is dead. All of them. Even your brother. You will never see them again." Her irises dilated.
