Introduction Blessed be!~ Wayward K here, K for short, but you probably guessed that from my username. I'm at a point in my life where I want to try to get back into writing, and writing a lot! One of my favorite ways of getting the creative juices flowing is roleplaying with one or multiple partners, so here I am! Newly returned to RPG Guild with a brand new account, [s][s]my old one forever lost to time.[/s][/s] About Me/Preferences I’ve been roleplaying since I was like 14 so it’s been over a decade. Thankfully, I write leagues better than I did when I was 14, and have learned quite a few things on the way. I’ve been on a hiatus from roleplay for quite a long time and, again, I’m looking to get back into roleplay! I’m a high-end of casual to advanced kind of roleplayer, preferring in depth stories and characters who are complex and not reductive. I enjoy having characters in 1x1s being in relationships or working towards it, my favorite genre is romance after all. That being said, I don’t like playing into reductive stereotypes. I understand that top/bottom dichotomies exist. I understand that musicians are always going to be heart throbs. However when you’re not careful they can be extremely… boring and shallow. I do not have hard rules for genders in 1x1s but I do prefer more masculine presenting characters for partners Roleplay Ideas
Modern Fantasy A lonely and dejected young adult moves into a new apartment in the city after some very recent social trauma. They spend their first night in an empty apartment with very little belongings to their name and just enough funds to last 2-3 weeks before they absolutely have to find a job in this new town. Something feels off with their apartment though, as if the building itself is always listening. They eventually meet a dark and mysterious stranger, who happens to be their neighbor. Their neighbor can explain the weirdness, as long as they don't mind everything getting much, much more strange if they do. The mystical underbelly of the city is hungry for its next denizen, and it's debatable who is going to have the bigger wake up call... our lonely new friend, or the city itself?

Post-Modern Sci-Fi The internet has long enthralled the modern world, the ability to connect with your friends and family from across the world, being able to research and learn anything you want, and the endless supply of new media. It's been several decades now, and the world is ready to evolve again. A company that goes by Elysium has developed a virtual reality that you can visit by digitizing your own consciousness. They sell personal and corporate servers as well, allowing you to do anything you wanted in the real world, but in cyberspace. No limitations, you can be anything, go anywhere, become anyone.

Horror Fantasy Throughout time demons have been one of humanity's greatest fears. Personifications of sin that have wrought death, destruction, and disease wherever they go. Possessions, hauntings, and more have been prescribed to them, leaving stories only spoken in hushed whispers or in full daylight as not to let the darkness listen. Sometimes demons will, for fun, seek to torment and assail poor victims. Whether they resist the demonic powers in full, or give in to the darkness that seeks a way inside is yet to be seen. All anyone knows is, when you dance with devils, hellfire licks at your heels. *Demon

Comedic High Fantasy Adventurers have long been a staple of Vellanoia, protecting its commonfolk by taking odd monster-hunting jobs and occasionally felling a lich and their hordes of undead. You’d think commonfolk would enjoy having their troubles taken care of for them by those who stand leagues above them. Nah? Not really? Adventurers seem to only care about their pocket books half the time, or cleaning a tavern out of ale. Sure they may take care of the undead hordes that crop up every now and then but, well, aren’t they the same ones traumatizing poor wizards into becoming liches in the first place? Sometimes full towns are razed before adventurers do anything about it. Maybe it’s time for some common-folk to get together and take care of things themselves. But… wouldn’t that make them no better than adventuring parties as are? Nah, best not think about that.

Sci-Fi/Fantasy This is less a single idea and more of an entire class of ideas. Basic formula being humanoid character + supposed monster = strange romance. No, I’m not talking about just vampires and werewolves either. Ever seen Shape of Water? Think Pyramid Head might be a bit too sexy? Lady Dimitrescu being 8 foot tall not freak you out? You get me? Of course you do, that’s why you clicked on this hider in the first place, you’re already here for it. Let’s have a little chat, maybe include a couple dragons man, I dunno.
I'll update this thread with more ideas and remove old ones over time, as well as probably update the thread itself every now and then as needed, so give me a bump if you're interested, then shoot me a PM! Unless preferred otherwise, I tend to do most of my RPs in DMs or Discord as they're easier to manage. Once we decide to RP together I expect to be in contact at least once a week so we don't just... go for too long without hearing from each other.
