And try as her family may, she believes the words that are said about her - that she will be nothing more than Asgard's next threat. It has inspired a sense of self loathing, sending the Asgardian spiraling into depression and self harm. 

Beyond her inner turmoil and misery, punctuated with self doubt and a wish for genuine connection, Runa is a kind and selfless individual. She does not judge based on a person's past, instead just forming her opinion based on the actions they take while she knows them. She would gladly sacrifice herself to help a friend or loved one, potentially even a stranger. If there's anything she can do to bring a little light into the universe, Runa will do it - no matter the personal cost.

[b][color=#a81a75]How did you discover your powers:[/color][/b] Runa is Asgardian and presented with her abilities at a rather young age. She was roughly five years old when she suddenly knew whenever someone was lying. Her parents were hopeful that her talent was with truth, yet when her grandfather, the God of Secrecy, gave her his staff - Gandr - Runa exhibited her true talent. She could warp reality with words. If she lied and someone then contradicted her verbally, she could make her lie become truth just by snapping her fingers. Luckily, no one was hurt when this ability manifested itself - she simply turned her older brother's hair violet. 

[b][color=#a81a75]General History:[/color][/b] Runa was the second born to Baldur, Odin's Son, God of Light and Nanna, Nepr's Daughter, Goddess of Joy and Peace. Their oldest child was Forseti, God of Justice and Reconciliation. The couple lived and raised their children in the Summer Palace, a wedding gift from Odin, the All-Father. Doting and kind, Nanna and Baldur always wished the best for their children, giving them all of the freedom and encouragement they could afford, even shirking some traditional Asgardian customs. By Midgardian standards, they were hippies living in a palace. 

Neither Runa nor her brother were quite as happy-go-lucky as their parents, but Nanna and Baldur loved them all the same. Baldur taught his children to manipulate light in Forseti's case and in Runa's, darkness. He would often create rainbows for them as toys, with Nanna lifting the spirits of all who lived within the halls of the Summer Palace. It was an idyllic lifestyle and Runa couldn't have been happier, until her innate abilities began to manifest. Rumors spread quickly on Asgard that one of Odin's grandchildren was destined for darkness - that she had power over lies and rather than manipulating light as her father did, she manipulated the shadows. 

Her parents tried their very best to shelter her from these rumors, ensuring that she received the best education she could. She would often play with Forseti or her favorite cousin Klara, Thor's daughter. It was when she began to study magic under her uncle Loki, God of Mischief that she learned what the people of Asgard believed her to be. She began to fall into a depression, believing that she was the curse of Asgard, that she would one day be responsible for her father's death and the beginning of Ragnarok. When she learned that with Gandr's help she could warp reality, she tried to keep it hidden but people found out. Soon, only her family would speak to her, as everyone else feared the power her words may hold. 

She withdrew more and more into herself, beginning to practice self harm and speaking with beings of dubious intent, such as Hecate's host Millicent on Midgard. The darkness eventually felt too great and she attempted to kill herself, only to be saved from death by her mother. She felt directionless in life, mostly going through the motions in hopes of finding a purpose beyond being a stain to the house of Odin. The dreamlike reality created by Wanda Maximoff reignited some hope in Runa. When the reality ended, she went to the BiFrost to go find Lance on Midgard, only to be abducted by her uncle, Loki who had quite recently betrayed Asgard back in ~2010.
