Keeping her Humanoid shape, Maat can take on the matter of whatever she touches. More defined states, such as solids and liquids, allow her to dedicate one part of her body or whole.
-Cannot recall previous matters. Can maintain one type for prolonged periods of time.
-Can take on two new types of matter at once, but requires concentration lest one type of matter dissipates.
-Liquids, such as water, keep all their properties except she retains her shape unless there is an outside force. E.g. she can phase through iron bars as water, but cannot change her shape or size unless acted upon by another.
--If forced into a non-humanoid shape, cannot be changed back into her unpowered form, willing or otherwise.
-Retains her consciousness, even as what would be her brain becomes the new material.

Deeply involved with Little League Softball until her powers manifested at the age of thirteen. Attempts by her family to keep Maat under supervision forced her to cut all relationships and even family ties. Was allowed online only while under constant observation, though she found a kindred soul living nearby and plotted for the next three years on how she can successfully run away. Maat managed to escape the restrictive clutches of her family, finding more help along the way; she fled her home to find a new start in New Alexandria -- a new her.

Maat joined the first professional softball team to be created in New Alexandria while completing her education. Recruited into First Echelon for her athleticism, control over her powers, and strong sense of justice. Works under contract that she can still play softball and can be an active agent between seasons. Is only pulled from games for emergencies.
