Though he has done his fair share of service on the battlefield “motivating” many a shell-shocked Guardsman, Sulla has been noticed by his superiors for putting down some of the Imperium’s worst fears: mutiny, and at times outright heresy among the ranks of the Astra Militarum. When the Guard returns from fighting in a Chaos-infected area, Sulla is the first to notice when the men start mumbling in unknown tongues. When rations run low and the men start to grumble, Sulla is the first to find out who amongst his ranks is hoarding them. For this purpose, his form of discipline is subtle and discreet, questioning instead of admonishing, empathizing instead of scolding. Though in the end, heresy meets the same fate under Commissar Dordonnen: the offending parties are dealt with and the unit is whipped into shape yet again for the Emperor. It is for this purpose that Sulla was recruited to be part of the Inquisitorial retinue: because of his way with people, and to an extent his experience with heresy. And at the end of the day, Sulla is also a political animal like the rest of his comrades, seeking and scheming to move up the Imperial hierarchy like everyone else.[/hider]
