He didn't know if wanted to be the one to hold them any longer. She also shadow traveled with the board, Iris and Mary. That probably wasn't a great pair to bring with her, but it was the next two pairs who needed to roll. If the rest of the group could get to the hanger they'd be away from these dang spiders. Ed remembered vaguely in the movie the group ended up split up and all around town. They could not afford either of those for very long. It worried him that they would end up split up all over the place. It didn't help with Carolina and Elizabeth gone into the game. What would happen if their turn came up and they weren't here to roll? They had three chances to try to get them out before it came to that point. Ed's magic was failing him. He couldn't heal himself even. He had sensed the weakness before and now it seemed even more likely. So healing was out of the question, at least for now, which wasn't great. Ed knew he was the only one able to heal people in the group. He also knew it wasn't his strength. It had been his sister's and she could have easily healed any of the injuries sustained so far without breaking a sweat. What he was good at though was creating shields. His thaumaturgy magic was strong. And he had already proven he could play around with his shield. The force spell he had was meant to control a field not do any real damage. He hadn't been trained to hurt and kill. Mostly because growing up his family expected to fight people and they didn't believe in killing people. Giant spiders, however, he was fine with killing. Taking his work with getting the dice a step farther he created a shield bubble around a few groups of spiders and then shrank it till they were crushed. Ten spiders down. He did it again. Fourteen more spiders down. That was twenty-four more spiders taken care of. Ed took a deep breath.
