The two that particularly stood out to her were Dulga, and Junko. Standing out wasn't necessarily a good thing, but those two answers were the most interesting to her. One wanted to be strong. One was attracted to this class *because* she was teaching it. That's not to say she ignored everybody's answers. She remembered them, because different answers reflected different attitudes, and it was important for her to know them, and important for them to know each other's. But it was most important for them to know their own. She pointed to Kouki. He gave his name, and then sat down. There was a rebellious air about him. Her grin widened and her eyes opened, revealing that they were a deep, dull golden color, and almost seemed to be piercing him. Looking straight through him. She kept her finger pointed at him for a very tense few seconds, before finally pointing at Nadeko, who stood up. "Maeda Nadeko. I want to be a Hero because I want to be a public symbol of inspiration, and a role model to others. I want to be a positive influence on the public, and for children to take strength and courage from my example. Because that's what a Hero is to me; a symbol." Nadeko sat down, and seemed slightly disappointed and deflated when Mako-sensei seemed to give no visible reaction to her reason. "All right! I've learned a lot about you all! You may have learned a bit about each other. Some of you might have even learned something about yourself. This is still a day of introductions, and of me getting to know you all, so I want you all to get changed and meet me in the school's gym in....we'll say ten minutes. That should give you ample time to get changed, and to find the gym if you get a little lost." Mako-sensei didn't say another word. She turned, and left the classroom.
When you got to the gym, you'd find another full class of students, all in uniform, with notepads and pens, sitting along the far wall. With them, was another teacher. Mako-sensei was standing in the middle of the gym, on some kind of small grey platform. There were two cardboard boxes at her feet full of stuff, but they were shut so it was hard to tell their contents. Once everybody was there, Mako cleared her throat. "Pay no mind to the Support Class students. Their first class project as Hero Support is to design costumes or gadgets for you. Don't get too excited. They won't be finished for a while. What I brought you here to show them, and me, and your fellow classmates, is your quirks. And I know, you may have explained the nature of your quirk verbally to your friends, and I've read all your files. The purpose of this isn't to show us what your quirk is, but to show us what you can do with it! This time, I won't point. Whoever wants to go first, can step up, and we'll show you off one-by-one until you've all had your turn. So, who's first?
Maeda Nadeko
Nadeko stepped up first, before anybody else could object, and approached the platform. The handless girl turned to the teacher. "Do you have anything made of metal?" she asked. Mako nodded, and took some assorted metal scrap out from one of the cardboard boxes. None of it had any sharp edges. Nadeko nodded, and held out one of her magnet-like arms as all the metal shot from Mako's grasp and stuck to her arm. She pointed one of her arms at the other, then, with a cocky grin at the crowd, started to fire pieces of the metal up into the air, and then attract them to her other arm. Very quickly, it became apparent that by using her magnets to repulse and attract in quick succession, she was juggling. After a few seconds, she stopped, and resisted the very strong urge to bow as she casually (too casually) gave the metal back to Mako, and rejoined the group. "Okay, who's next?"
