With everyone doing exactly as they were told by their teacher, including Alice of course, the quick introduction was over as fast as it had begun. It was always awkward being put on the spot in front of the whole class, especially since they weren't familiar with each other yet. The next exercise would continue this sentiment by making everyone show off their quirk in front of the other students and some other students who were invited to watch. At least this was what they were told once they had arrived at the gym hall. Honestly, 10 minutes was probably a little too short, especially considering that the students were not familiar at all with the school's layout. Luckily, most if not everyone appeared to have made it in time despite that. Now that they were all collectively gathered in their gym clothes in a rather spacious gym hall, they would be able to show off their quirks with sufficient freedom... for most students anyway. Of course, there were still some limitations depending on one's quirk. This was both true for Alice and for other students, as she would soon come to see. Regardless, the apparently relatively large away of props that they were allowed to use would surely come in handy for many students. After all, this quirk show was to make an impression on everyone in the room, be it a teacher or student. Additionally, it would be a great way to demonstrate that one can weave their quirk confidently even when being watched by a large group of people. At least, this was Alice's interpretation of the reasons for the task. The first student who would show off their inherent ability was the girl who had introduced herself as Nadeko. Quite frankly she had caught Alice's eyes earlier already due to the quite apparent difference about her body. "That's just awfully impractical... she thought to herself while observing the "performance" so to speak. While the malformed hands were quite obviously a handicap, the girl's control of the magnetism with her hands was quite impressive. Activating, deactivating, and regulating one's quirk's strengths in such quick succession was no easy feat but Nadeko almost made it look easy. Alice made sure to pay close attention to her and every other student's performance since it was quite important to be able to properly judge one's co-students in a hero course. Alice had done her research before joining the hero course and, group exercises appeared to be a common thing. While watching, however, Alice appeared more stoic than anything. Not cold, uninviting but also not enthused. She was merely focussing on the events unfolding in front of her very eyes, standing next to all the other students in her comfy gym outfit. Next up was Kousuke. The mute who apparently only spoke via his phone, at least from what Alice had seen of him so far. Certainly, a unique individual right off the bat since this wasn't exactly the most common thing. It seemed to be a quirk of his, whether on purpose or not, albeit not his actual quirk. Regardless, he began producing some form of gum and used it as a makeshift rope which honestly appeared to be rather sticky. Alice's hypothesis about its inherent stickiness was proven correct as he was able to simply stick to the ceiling which almost appeared effortless, despite the daunting height. An impressive feat indeed! Sadly, however, Alice could not help but imagine the sticky gum being stuck in her feathers, making them icky and glued together... the thought caused her to get immediate goosebumps! And not the good kind either! After Kousuke, it was Dulga. From Alice's first impression in the classroom, she seemed like a rather.... stoic person. Or well, mayhaps that was not the right word to describe her. Either way, she didn't exactly seem approachable as a person, to put it that way. Her performance was a show of pure strength, of dominance, and of power. At least that is the vibe that was given to the comparatively petit owl. It was true that Alice's quirk provided her with somewhat enhanced physical abilities, allowing her to perform feats which other's with her age and/or body type would not be able to but compared to the towering strength of Dulga, one who was able to snap such a strong solid in half, it seemed nought but nothing. When she pulled out those additional pairs of hands, Alice could not help but think of certain figured of Hinduism, albeit the display of power was much rawer and less refined than what one would come to expect from that direction. Regardless, the show of strength had impressed Alice. It might have been a bit bland but that is not a big deal when one simply wants to show off their inhuman strength. In that regards, Dulga was successful. While this performance surely left an impression, it was the next performance which would burn itself into Alice's mind and actually give an openly emotional response in the owl. While his initial impression was nothing special, once Alice was able to get a good look at his six wings in all their glory, the owl's eyes began widening a bit. Mayhaps it was a sense of solidarity from one wing-type to another, although Acion seemed to be much more on the angelic side than bird-type like Alice. The sight of his wings certainly caused her to lean forward slightly and watch the performance in its full length. Alice was more than impressed by what she had been shown, a display of skill and efficiency in flying which was almost unprecedented in what she had seen. Since she was a flyer herself, Alice knew how much skill the maneuvers put on display by Acion took and could appreciate them even more. Even when he was done, Alice couldn't help but follow Acion walk back to the lot of them with her eyes, eyeing him carefully. Whether it was a sense of rivalry from a skilled flyer or a sense of solidarity as described prior remained to be seen. Perhaps it was even a combination of both... There was no time for her to dwell on the sentiment for too long, however, since the next performance would begin immediately. She wanted to focus on everyone equally so she could adequately make an impression of them. Therefore, Alice shifted her body back to her normal, formal position and began watching as Kouji began. In contrast to the other performances, this one may have been a bit lackluster but aerokinesis surely was a powerful skill. Once honed and trained further it would surely be of great use! For now, though, this quirk showing would be put into the back of Alice's head compared to the other ones anyway. The last one to act before Alice decided to step up was also the weirdest showcase so far considering how "out there" the quirk actually was. Frankly, it was difficult for Alice to decide what to make of the performance. Thanks to Alice's enhanced eyesight she was able to catch every little detail of the performance, even from so far away. "His body is doing the eating but it almost seems to take no damage whatsoever to it. Additionally, it is so flexible... one wonders where the limits are. Almost monstrous in nature..." and with those thoughts, Alice concluded her assessment of his quirk-showcase. While Donny left an impression, Alice would need to see a lot more to get a good understanding of the "in's and out's" of his quirk. Finally, Alice had enough of waiting around. Whether it was the spark of seeing another wing-user perform, or simply her growing restlessness of watching performances which ignited her motivation to show off what she was capable of did not matter at this point since the owl simply decisively stepped up after Donny in front of her class, teacher and the support class. Alice walked towards the center of the gym, turned around to face the class, and then slowly took off her glasses with an almost inaudible sigh. After putting the glasses down on the floor in front of her, she extended her arms to her left and right before transforming them into what would become her owl's wings. They were large, beautiful wings with brown feathers bearing different shades of brown in a rather pleasant looking pattern. The total length would be essentially her body height, meaning they would drag over the floor should she just let her wings rest and hang down in a straight line. While she no longer had arms, Alice quickly used her wings with their original purpose in mind: To fly. With a few wide flaps, Alice ascended and began flying circles around the gym. Now, of course, this was nothing too impressive and wouldn't make her stand out in front of anyone. Therefore, she had to think of something. Sadly the space of the gym severely limited what she was capable of. Showing off her enhanced eyesight and hearing was practically impossible without prior preparing and a full owl-transformation would not be possible here since it would instantly drop all of her clothes and... a back-transformation would be difficult without them. "...This should work." Alice thought to herself as she began to fly towards one end of the gym. Upon reaching it, she turned around to face the open hall. The winged girl inhaled sharply before with one quick and powerful flap of her wings began dashing forward, adjusting her body position to be aerodynamically adjusted to allow for the maximum speed possible and dashed towards the other end of the gym. She would reach it rather soon as she flew past her peers with impressive speed. However, while her speed was quite fast, the most impressive part was the wind which was produced by it, or rather, the lack thereof. Yes indeed, typical to what is known for owls, Alice was able to do her flight maneuver in practically complete silence and without producing any wind. Due to the special shape of her feathers and her refined ability, she was able to fly without making any noise at all or causing any wind or airflow. One could say Alice flew in complete Silence. Once she had done her feat, Alice descended from the skies (or as far high as the gym would allow anyways), re-transform her wings back into the much more practical, opposable-thumb-containing, hands with which she picked up her glasses, put them back on with grace, adjusted them on her nose and walked back to her peers. Admittedly, this performance wouldn't paint a picture of an owlgirl as much as just a girl with wings. However, the girl hoped she was able to impress some amongst the audience, most importantly their teacher and a certain someone, at whom she would glance for just a short moment after having returned to the group of students.
