[indent][indent][color=DCDCDC] Luka first met and became best friends with Andy, when they had to sit next to each other in Ms.Miranda's kindergarten class. They fought over a broken green crayon that they both wanted to use, and bonded over chocolate chip cookies that Luka's mother made. When they had gotten older they had joked about how silly that they became friends over crayons and cookies. Since, that fateful day in kindergarten all the way to high school. It was rare for one to be see without the other, at Luka's family cafe or house they would study, projects, and eat. When they were at Andy's apartment, they played a lot of games or go to the park near the school. Almost all of her childhood memories include Andy and his family, there wasn't really any secrets between the two.
 
When they got to high school, they no longer stuck to each other like glue. But they were still best friends, they would still spend a lot of time together around their school schedule and extracurricular activities. Even when Andy got a girlfriend, their friendship stayed strong. Even though they would argue and fight every time Andy acted like a over protective brother when other guys started to take notice of how pretty Luka was when she actually put a effort into her appearance.

Luka had gone to Los Angeles a couple weeks after graduating from Golden Valley High, she had gotten a full ride scholarship To attend the university of Los Angeles. Her parents were so proud of her, especially since she was doing a dual major of hospitality and culinary. One day she had gone to a party, instead of it ending where she would go back to the school dorm safe and sound things ended a little differently for her that night. She woke up in the emergency room with police officers and nurses trying to calm her down telling her that she was sexually assaulted. When she first found out, she couldn’t believe it saying that they must be mistaken. But she knew that it’s true because she was in so much pain and she could only remember bits and pieces even though she was drugged.

When they had asked her if she wanted to call anyone, She immediately called her parents and her best friend. She still remembers their faces when they came to the hospital room panicked, scared that both her dad and Andy looked mad about what had happened. After the police and the nurses and doctors cleared her to go home.
She’s stuck close to her parents and Andy, she even got a couple months off of school being told that when she was ready she could come back anytime. She ended up spending most of his free time with Andy who kept trying to cheer her up to make her feel better even apologizing that he wasn’t there to keep it from happening. During the time of her being back home and spending a lot of her time the first two weeks with Andy and her parents.

She tried to give him space, so that he could have more time with his girlfriend. Andy told her to knock it off. It wasn't cool. It was just making him more worried about her. When Andy was leaving to go to Los Angeles to look at an apartment she told him she wasn’t scared anymore that she would be going back to school, even asking him to take her with him next time. When Andy’s family came to tell her that he died in a car crash, and she couldn’t believe it, It wasn’t till Luka was putting flowers on his casket that it really hit her. She tried to be there for Andy’s family and for his girlfriend, but most of the time they pushed her away. Even though they have pushed away she tried even if they didn’t want to, she should still try to talk to them great, especially when on weekends that she would go to Andy’s grave to leave flowers or plants or just sit there and talk to him.

It wasn’t till 2 months after Andy’s death that she realised  that she was pregnant. She was vomiting a lot and gained alot of weight. She originally thought she had the flu, because she didn’t look pregnant. When the Doctor told her that she was pregnant, she passed out in shock. Her parents' reactions were mixed when she told them. Her mom was excited to have a grandchild. But saddened at the reminder of how the baby came to be. While her dad was mad and upset that she was going to have her rapist’s child. But to her it didn’t matter, because she had already decided to keep and love the baby.

In the months to come, When she started to show that she was pregnant. She would hear whispers whenever she would come home to Blanco on the weekends. At first she ignored them, But when The Rutledges started to approach asking  if the baby was Andy’s that she wished hadn’t ignored them. She tried to tell them the baby wasn't Andys but they kept asking.

She tried to stay away for the rest of her pregnancy, Her parents even willing to come to Los Angeles when she gave birth to he beautiful baby girl Haiden Andy Beaulieu. Even though her best friend couldn’t be here to be part of her daughter’s life he could still be a part of her life by name and in stories, is what Luka thought when she wrote Andy has her baby’s middle name. Since then, she has graduated from University of Los Angeles. She still continues to visit Andy’s grave when she goes to see her parents, but mostly she stays in Los Angeles to keep her and her daughter out of the Blanco rumor pool. Especially since she still gets questions about her daughter’s father or told that Haiden looks so much like Andy, which makes her roll her eyes in response before she states that “Andy isn’t her father!”

But with her parents being in their sixties now it's getting harder for them to manage Beaulieu Cafe, as much as she dreads living full time in Blanco. She absolutely hates the idea of her family’s cafe being closed, So she decided to slow her discomfort and annoyance to move back to Blanco. She is just glad her daughter doesn’t mind moving to Blanco, considering this is her senior year and all. She is glad to have a level head and responsible kid, now if only The Rutledges and the rest of Blanco would open their eyes and stopping seeing her daughter as Andy’s child.
