Somewhere between the New World and the Old, a group of islands has hidden a small society of people. Rather than hunt monsters, they tamed and lived alongside them. These people, simply known as Riders, called their home the Omna Isles. Small towns sprouted up in different places, formed by different people, be they humans, Wyverians, or even Troverians. For nearly a century, the Riders lived without contact with the outside world.

That changed roughly thirty years ago, when survivors of a shipwreck belonging to the Research Commission washed up on one of the shores. After misunderstandings were worked out between Hunters and Riders, the newcomers were welcomed into the Rider's society. While the Omna Isles have been relatively peaceful, something is very wrong.

While monster populations in some areas have been dwindling, others have been been appearing in environments that they're not normally seen in. Rumors have been swirling around about monsters behaving in a violent and erratic manner. Though these rumors haven't been confirmed or denied by the Rider's Guild, they've begun investigating them...
