Most of this RP is going to take place through Discord. There will also be chances to use the Pokemon battle simulator called [url=https://pokemonshowdown.com/]Pokemon Showdown[/url]. As for the Jak and Daxter games themselves, you don't have to necessarily play them to participate in this RP, but more on that in a moment. Finally, this RP thread itself will only be used for posting important information. 

[b]First, Discord & The Jak and Daxter Games:[/b] In order to catch Pokemon and find items, you'll need to tell me where you are in the Jak and Daxter game. You'll do this by describing the area to me via discord. I'll then decide what Pokemon and items are currently in the area for you to interact with. So, while it is possible to describe a location in the game from memory, it might help to play the games to remind you of the locations and make this a funner experience. 

[b]Second, Pokemon Showdown & Events:[/b] When I know in advance that I will be online at a certain time, I will let everyone know through discord and through this site. Often times, these events will be Pokemon Showdown battles: battles against important bad guys, battles against legendary Pokemon, and so forth. These events will also take place at a certain place and time inside the Jak and Daxter world (but of course, you can just say that your character is in that location, and that will work fine). 

[b]Lastly, this site:[/b] I will be using the three tabs to this thread for very specific purposes. The Character Sheet tab will be solely for storing characters, obviously. This OOC tab will be used to help recruit new players and to answer general questions. The biggest change here will be the IC tab. Since players will be interacting through Discord, the IC tab here will be reserved for plot summaries. 

[center][h1]Pacing and Passage of Time[/h1][/center]
The passage of time in this RP will be loosely linked to real world time. For every week IRL, one day will pass on Jak's planet. When we start a new day, it will either be the next day, OR we can time skip a few days. This will hopefully keep the RP moving at a decent pace. 

Also to help with pacing, experience points will be awarded based off the passage of time. For every IRL day that passes, you will be awarded 5 experience points. For every in game day that passes, you will be awarded 10 experience points. Therefore, when we are starting a new day, if we decide to time skip a few days, you will receive more experience points to work with. 

Experience points will be the only form of "currency" in this RP, and they are only used for catching and leveling up Pokemon.
