Also, he has recently finished a degree in Originum geology which introduced him to the works of Skyfire who he looked up to as a fellow researcher. Not long after he graduated his 2nd degree, King's Wand, an Originum power research institute, has offered him an immediate tenureship due to his impressive thesis in Catastrophe mapping and his outstanding affinity with Originum arts. Since then, Cardinal has worked with the most noted specialists in Originum study and has been helping revolutionize the the said field in both practical and theoretical applications.[/i][/color]

Born on a small island in the tropics of Columbia, Cardinal has always shown keen interest in the endemic life. He would sometimes bring in specimens back home to observe and make logs based on his own findings. 
This peculiar habit has outcast him from the other kids on the island, leaving him alone most of the time.

Cardinal initially wanted to be a Messenger under a Logistic company, however, due to his weak body, most of his applications were not successful. He was then sent off to Victoria to study which turned out well and eventually he learned to like.
Though he was not able to become a Messenger, he was often sent off to different locations to do collaborative studies related to Originum.

Although he studied in the Academy, Cardnial is just a commoner from a secluded island in Columbia. So it came as a surprise when King's Wand has offered him a tenureship, considering most of it's members are Elites from major cities like Lungmen and Victoria.
In his most recent interview, he stated that his first few months working under the institute was tough, as he stuck like a sore thumb amidst the sea of high profiled academes. Although, eventually, he learned that he wasn't all that different since they accepted him as one of them easily due to his skills.
Adjusting to a new lifestyle is a different story though.

Cardinal has witnessed a number of Catastrophes in his lifetime, one of which happened in the next island to theirs. From the highest hill, he saw as the other island was engulfed in dark clouds, thunder and lightning rages. It went on for months, and after the Catastrophe has subsided, the island was left ravaged and barren. 
An expedition was then formed days after to check the casualties, and to their surprise, where no life should have survived, a few cornucopias of Originum Slugs have been seen. This has sparked an interest in Cardinal to study more of these unique creatures.
