As such, he had no idea that he'd just put himself within striking range of the creature itself, nor did he realize just how vulnerable that would really make him. It wasn't until the creature made its move on his life that Beau reacted, rising to full height and holding his arms out in an X fashion in an effort to defend his vital organs. Thankfully, it retracted its hand just at the last second, and seemed content on waiting for Beau's next move, eyeing him up closely. Still, the fact that it didn't even hesitate with its attack was enough to frighten Beau. He slowly lowered his arms, and took a moment to calm his breathing and steel himself again. "So they are real..." Beau said aloud, to no-one in particular. ... Another guy had arrived at the scene, only to recoil at the sight of the creature that just tried to attack Beau. Then came a girl whose face was familiar to Beau. If he recalled, she was the one who noticed the random fish in the community kitchen's microwave, and berated the guy who put it in there. She seemed more concerned about the fog's origins than anything but, while Beau wondered about that himself, he could identify the more pressing issue that was right in front of him... among others. "Never mind the fog; what do we do about this thing in front of us?" Beau queried.
