She put one foot in front of the other and made it deeper into the cave, the damp cool in the dark serving to send a chill through her, enough to make her shudder before long. She saw the light ahead and slowed to a stop, squinting to try to make out what it was, but her eyes refused to adjust, or perhaps it was still too far away. Regardless, her attention was drawn away when she heard one of them drop to the ground behind her. She turned her back on the light to see Brenton on his hands and knees, breathing rapidly, each gasp clearly paining him. Freya knew a panic attack when she saw one. It had to be either the dark or the cramped cave, or both, that was getting to him. She didn't know exactly what to do, but she wasn't going to just stand there and watch. She knelt down in front of him. [color=lavender]"Hey, it's okay,"[/color] she said, putting a hand lightly on his shoulder. [color=lavender]"I know it's dark, but we've got a lot of space still. We'll just take it slow. Look at me. Just try to breathe slow, okay? Don't force it."[/color] She really didn't know if that would help, but they really had to keep moving. Multiple people were bleeding still, and for all they knew something was on their tail. And there was still the light ahead...
