Even at her age, there was a part of her that still wanted something to fight. As far as she was concerned [i]she[/i] should be a thane, given her age. She didn't have a disrespect for authority, quite the opposite actually, but at this stage in her afterlife, she firmly believed that she should have authority, and that the leadership these people had was not based on merit, but status. She believed that power was earned, and she hadn't seen these people earn it at all.
