Name: Mori Hanako
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearance: If it's raining, you just have to accept that.
Personality: Generally taciturn and not much of a talker, Hanako can be difficult to work with outside of a strictly professional sense--she very much doesn't want to be your friend or operate beyond the bounds of a mission. A professional relationship is not a personal one and, as long as everyone follows orders and does their job, it will work out fine in the end. Not that she's much better at being social even off the job, but at least that's from simply being bad at it and people generally not being too interested in what interesting scenery she saw rather than rebuffing everyone.
Brief Backstory: Both of Hanako's parents are still alive, her mother working as a doctor and her father as some sort of quartermaster in the Army of Humanity. Having been quite busy when she was growing up, they weren't the best able to get their daughter to actually socialise with anyone... not that it would probably have done much anyway. Her brief time in the regular military made it clear where Hanako's utility really was, and her high affinity made taking advantage of that even more important. Plus, hopefully, her tendency to not bond with other people would be less of a problem.
Equipment: Aside from the obvious necessities for fighting, Hanako carries the sort of things that will be most useful when scouting a place out--maps, compasses, even rope and the like where they might be followed by someone without the benefit of a Crimson Arm. She also tends to carry rather more pencils and bits of paper than are actually needed for annotating maps or sketching them out.
Skills: Promoted to her current position for compatibility and her other skills more than combat ability, Hanako isn't much better at fighting than your rank and file are. What she's good at even without the benefit of Carnwennan is skulking around and spotting things, as well as having an excellent sense of direction and size. This makes her particularly useful for updating maps to show what has collapsed, been overrun, or been rebuilt by vampires, or just drawing a map where they don't know what the hell the buildings were even like before. She also likes to draw the scenery when out and about, time permitting.
Crimson Arm: Carnwennan, Blade of Night. More of a combat knife than a dagger, it nevertheless derives its name from the Arthurian dagger of the same name for its remarkably similar ability. Rather than wreathing the user in shadow, it actually bends light and muffles sound, rendering the user effectively undetectable to most obvious sound. It also does odd things to the user's scent--not so much that it's untraceable, more one of smelling exactly like the surrounding environment. All of this becomes vastly less effective if you start moving quickly, making it one of the less useful Crimson Arms in a major fight... on top of being, obviously, a knife.
