They were bystanders to this fight and now they were direct combatants. She hated getting into quarrels that didn't involve them and she thought it was rather reckless of Mary to do so. When encountering two warring bears in the woods, it was a silly idea to throw a rock at them. "Our destinies were not yet entwined - now they are," she said simply to Mary. She flipped the pages in her Book of Shadows, hoping for a means of robbing one dragon of its sight. Her shield had failed, one of the dragons had fallen, and the Argo III was burning. Despite the web of chaos surrounding them, Rebecca felt calm and at ease. She was as tranquil as still water under a full moon, leaning into her magic. She scanned the page she came to - it wasn't as powerful a spell as she would have liked, but it would do. "Obscure," Rebecca whispered, pointing a finger at the dragon. Her aim was off slightly, but she managed to blind it for a few seconds. She then snapped the book shut and concentrated. The key to manipulating the Mist was to make the illusion more desirable to the target than reality. She closed her eye, envisioning the Argo III turning around and sailing in the other direction, going off into the horizon - a tantalizing target for the dragons to chase. Meanwhile, the real Argo III would be invisible to its senses. She smiled softly, feeling the illusion set in. One of the dragons went off in hot pursuit of it, while the other circled the area. "Please do not attack them. They believe we've gone off in the other direction." Somehow, she doubted the other demigods would listen. She knew that Rebecca was rather talented and skilled, but dragons were incredibly dangerous. They couldn't afford to let their guard down. There was something else they couldn't afford too - letting their mast burn up completely. She huffed a bit, made a face at Kiera, before she dashed off at superspeed. Once she found the fire extinguisher, she rushed back over to the mast, pulling the pin and squeezing as she sent the foamy wonder at the mast. It dampened the flames slightly. Sweat trickled off of her forehead. Leda ran around the mast again, going as fast as she could as she surrounded the flames with the dry chemical reagent. She emptied the entire extinguisher by the time she was done, putting out the fire on the mast and creating what looked like a gigantic tower of shaving cream. At the very least, she figured that wouldn't impact their ability to magically sail. Hopefully they got away from the dragons soon - not including Mary. Demetri was included. "Cult" or not, the structure of Camp Jupiter helped her quite a lot with keeping the flashbacks at bay. She didn't have episodes nearly as often as she used to - and now, her episodes tended to just mean she was receiving prophecies. They rarely involved horrific memories of the darkest moment of her life. It was only the children of Bacchus that brought those on in New Rome. People tended not to really ask her about the Lotus Hotel and Casino, a blessing that she was incredibly grateful for. Luckily, Niah offered up a brilliant distraction - they were being followed. She cracked her knuckles, daydreaming briefly about letting loose a sonic screech and flipping the car following them over, creating a gigantic explosion on the road. She couldn't help but feel disappointed when apparently Waverley, Marco, and Madalyne had everything handled. Hopefully there'd be a monster or two to kill on the way to Atlas. She needed a good fight. "Hey Waverley, how about you drink some Kool-Aid then and prove this is a cult?" Nancy invited the young legionnaire. "You're part of the Twelfth Legion. By your logic, you shouldn't have any issue with slicing your wrists and dying if I ask it of you."
