[indent][color=white]An old house, the Conningtons were a significantly wealthy house during the rule of House Targaryen before Robert's Rebellion. Due to being the Hand of the Mad King Aerys IV, House Connington sided with the Royalist but split during the War of the Five Kings when Jon Connington remained with the Targaryens while Ronnet Connington sided with Stannis. Historically, House Connington of Griffin's Roost was a house of landed knights from Griffin's Roost before being elevated into proper lordship by Aegon IV when the title was given back to them. [color=white][b]Characterization[/b][/color][indent]Like all Connintons, Caryll is particularly passionate and competitive. He’s not afraid to speak his mind with blunt honestly, even if it lands him into hot water against his superiors such as Lord Paramount Baratheons or the High Septon, forcing the Targaryens to bail him due to their marriage connections.
Insufferably handsome and proud with the skills to back them up, Caryll Connington finds himself a prisoner of his own status as he is forced to become the new lord of Griffin’s Roost after his father died of the Shivers. 
His sisters and cousins are the only ones in the castle that can match his unyielding fervor and hotheadedness leading to the occasional shouting matches and sibling feuds. But with all the arguments and shouting matches, he still loves his family dearly.

[color=white][b]Attributes & Talents[/b][/color][indent]He didn’t earn the title of the Champion of Cain just by being good in swordplay, he earned it by being the best. So eager and full of determination as he looked towards his ancestor Ser Steffon Connington for inspiration, Caryll trained day and night whenever and wherever he could with his father, the castle’s sergeant at arms, and other lords under the Baratheon made him the finest knight in the Stormlands and one of the deadliest swordsmen in the Seven Kingdoms. 
 
Cayrll’s handsomeness couldn’t be understated. With the brawn and the beauty, he was every maiden’s dream that was on par with Robert Baratheon’s and Jaime Lannister’s mythical good looks. With piercing blue eyes and hair as red as dragonfire, Caryll looks very much a shining knight in armor that popped out of a fairy tale story.
