[indent]A small, slightly dark skinned Asian American girl around 5'3"/160 cm~, with a slight but surprisingly muscular build and medium length silky black hair normally kept bound up in a tight ponytail. She ordinarily dresses like a tomboy, jackets and pants and a t-shirt or tank top, though over time she might branch out and get interested in different styles. Along with her clothes she almost always has sunglasses and a White Cane to visually indicate her blindness for other people. When doing vigilante work or missions for The Chaste she wears a set of grey and black clothes and a dark cloth mask with no eyeholes. [/indent]

[b]Physical Fitness-[/b] Thanks to a childhood spent training with her prizefighter dad and five months of intensive daily training with Stick, Rosa has the general overall physique of someone at near peak human levels of physical fitness for someone of her age and size.

[b]Reflexes-[/b] Rosa's reflexes are becoming increasingly quick thanks to her training with Stick and her superhuman senses giving her inputs faster and more detailed than any ordinary human's. For now she's developing close to peak human reflexes, but may go beyond that into mildly superhuman territory. 

[b]Martial Arts Skills-[/b] Rosa grew up with a professional boxer and later mixed martial artist for a dad and idolized him enough to train with him and at his gyms from a young age. She's also spent the past four months training with Stick in Kali and other martial arts she can't fully identify. Her main background is in Mixed Martial Arts with a heavier than normal emphasis on punching and standing footwork from her dad's boxing background, but she's got some no gi Judo, Muay Thai and Brazillian Jujitsu crosstraining from his MMA gym too. Stick's training supplemented that with Kali and what he claims is ninjutsu, but to her it just feels like formalized really dirty fighting mixed with old school jujitsu and some flashy but tricky stuff that wouldn't be out of place in capoeira or wushu. She's got some armed training mainly with Kali bastons and staff fighting, but also knives and improvised weapons, partly to learn how to defend against them. Overall she's still a talented amateur who's only got six months of serious training.

[b]Acrobatics-[/b] Rosa is a former gymnast, traceuse and free runner in addition to being into martial arts, mostly for conditioning, mental discipline and fun. Since the accident she can't train or compete in these things in her civilian life. However Stick's training has heavily emphasized them along with fighting, so acrobatic maneuvers and parkour skills are often part of her fighting style as well as her main method of getting around.

[b]Stealth-[/b] Since Rosa was adopted by Stick, he's started training her in stealth, infiltration and ambush tactics. Her powers also give her unique advantages there, since if she focuses she can detect even the slightest signs that could give her away and get superhumanly accurate information on security systems for anywhere she breaks into.[/indent]

[indent][b]Superhuman Senses-[/b] Even though she can't see, the particle accelerator accident gave Rosa superhuman senses of hearing, smell, touch and taste. Though she's still learning to open herself up to her senses and understand the new world she experiences, she's slowly learning to do a lot with them. Her powers also give her a lot more conscious and unconscious information about her surroundings and combined with her training and body awareness can seem to give her supernaturally fast reflexes.

[b]Bodily Control[/b]-More a side effect of heightened awareness of her own body combined with training from Stick, but Rosa is slowly learning to control some of her body's autonomic functions. She can raise or lower her body temperature slightly, dull her sense of pain, slow her heartbeat and breathing down significantly and has a much better sense of balance and more precise movements than the average person.

[b]Superhuman accuracy[/b]- The combination of her increased sensory awareness and precision and her superhuman body coordination means she can aim and throw things with an inhuman degree of accuracy if she focuses.

[indent][b]Overstimulation-[/b] Rosa's been training extensively to learn to block out the vast majority of her sensory input to keep herself from going insane or worse. Still, intense and sudden stimuli can cause her serious pain and disorientation.

[b]Normal human weaknesses-[/b] Even though she's got metahuman senses, a ton of stubbornness and willpower and really unusual training, Rosa is still just a small 16-year-old human girl. Taking a blade or a bullet or a super strong punch will kill her just as dead as any average person on the street. She still needs to sleep and eat, still eventually feels pain and heals about as fast as a normal, healthy girl would when injured. She's got all the mental and psychological issues and weaknesses of a normal girl who's been through some pretty traumatic experiences too.

[b]Blindness-[/b] Even though all her other senses are supercharged and she has synesthesia helping her process some of the information visually, Rosa's still blind. That means among other things she can't visually see most screens and would need to be able to identify inks, dyes or food coloring to distinguish colors in other objects. She can't usually read unless she feels for slight indentations along a page, which doesn't always work and she can't know what someone looks like in a visual sense. 

[b]Inexperience-[/b] Rosa's got a very loose handle on her newfound senses at best and spent her first month with Stick just learning how to subconsciously filter out enough input to leave a sensory deprivation room without collapsing in pain. Lifting those filters without overloading herself takes focus and discipline and she's still not always skilled enough to understand what she finds. Similarly, while she is a very skilled martial artist and athlete for her age, she's only just started her more serious training with Stick.

[indent] Rosa is cheerful, energetic and forces herself to be optimistic if kind of snarky in ordinary circumstances. Her job growing up was to help her dad take care of himself and keep his spirits up, after all. But losing her dad and her sight in the same week and getting adopted by an alleged ninja cult leader has kinda put her in a darker mood lately. The ability to hear most of the crime and cries for help going on in Kansas City and the surrounding area hasn't really helped her sense of optimism either, though it is a big motivator in her crime fighting efforts. Part of her longs to go back to being just an ordinary girl with a family trying to get by and cling to a sense of normality. At the same time she can't ignore the pain and desperation around her or the debt she owes Stick and the Chaste. Her Catholicism isn't a massive part of her identity and she'd probably consider herself a lapsed Catholic if she gave it thought, but she does sometimes lean on faith and the morals she was raised with when the rest of the world feels like it's going crazy or her burdens feel too heavy to bear. [indent]A first generation American and citizen of Kansas City, raised alone by her father, a struggling professional fighter. She never knew what happened to her mother. She was raised nominally Catholic but strayed from the faith for multiple reasons.[/indent]

Rosa was born in Kansas City to a working class immigrant Filipino couple. Her mom was a registered nurse and her dad Juan 'Jack' Ravelo was a pro boxer who turned MMA fighter on the advice of a sleazy manager. He had some talent, but never enough to really make it big as a fighter in either sport, and his career mostly stalled once Rosa's mom left, allegedly because of some kind of mental breakdown. Her dad ended up raising her mostly on his own and to make ends meet he started taking rougher and rougher jobs in between legitimate fights. First as a bouncer, then a pit fighter.[/indent]

Rosa's childhood still felt normal enough to her, even as she got older and started figuring things out. If she had to stitch her dad up on nights when he wasn't ever on an official fight card, well that was just the way things were. He used the money saved up from his fights to send her to a good private school and made enough to start putting some away on the side. She worked hard and did okay and overall, even made some good friends. They had a rough but happy family life.

Over the past year, things changed though. New faces started managing both the underground fights and the legitimate ones, bringing in their own people. Stakes got higher and her dad's agent started pressuring him to take the dive in big matches, in and out of the pit. Things got rougher and her dad took more beatings, but the money was good so he always brushed past her complaints, even when he came home looking like raw hamburger thanks to a loss or a dive turned ugly.

All that changed around six months ago. Rosa was with a group touring STAR Labs when the particle accelerator incident happened and happened to be looking right at the particle accelerator's area at the time. The last thing she ever saw before being rendered permanently blind was a burning light. Her world was dark but it wasn't empty. By the time she reached the hospital, she was overwhelmed by all the input from all her other senses and in agony.

She wouldn't find this out until later, but Jack took drastic action to try and secure a better future for his newly blind daughter. He took all of the money he'd saved up until now and instructed a friend to bet it all on him in his next fight. A fight he'd been ordered to lose. He defied both his agents and the criminals that ran the pit fights, then had all his winnings put into a secure account for Rosa. 

The more criminal elements of management didn't exactly like losing a bunch of money over what should've been a sure thing and Jack paid the price with his life. The next thing Rosa remembered was coming to in the hospital as an unfamiliar old man slowly walked her through the process of tuning her senses down. He called himself Stick and introduced himself to her and the hospital staff as a specialist in rapidly teaching life skills to people who end up blind later in life. Once she found out her dad was dead, she went with Stick willingly enough, in part just to deal with the disorientation and physical pain better.

Since then she's been living and training with Stick, who was actually an agent of an order of martial artists and spies called the Chaste, dedicated to a purpose she doesn't fully understand. Still, she owes him for what functionality and stability her life has left and has dedicated herself to the training and occasional missions. As a result of her senses though, it's become increasingly hard for her to ignore people in trouble both morally and physically. So when she's not training with or doing missions for Stick, she spends her nights now acting as a vigilante for her neighborhood and everywhere she can hear.
