"AAahahhh!!! Hellpp!!!" came a child's cry. Nesy heard the little girl and was able to use the sound to track through the Labyrinthine tunnels. Putrid smells accosted him as he trekked deeper and deeper into the wet sewers. "..esy... Nesy.." Nesy's ears filled with electronic beeps and buzzes, "establi... onnection..." it was the girls voice from before, when he awoke in the cave, and she sounded as if she was standing next to him. "It's me, Asra, from before....*buzzwerp!*.. your internal processing unit has charged and we can talk n...." the voice was gone again. Nesy's infrared view gave him a clear image of the path in front of him, he ignored the enigmatic voice and continued to follow the sound of the weeping girl. Suddenly, he felt an unnervy feeling spread through his body and chills begin to run down his spine, just like they had before when he talked to the old man at the top of the well. He had to stop for a moment to regain his balance. "That's better." Asra's voice came in clearly. "The machinery is charging from your biomagnetic aura, we should be able to speak for a time." Nesy looked around, there was nobody there. "I am here to help you, but I must speak quickly because your neural implant will only last so long. I turned on the Infrared for you, and I will help you in other ways as well, but every time I project myself holographically to you or assist you in using one of your functions it uses our power. If I use all our power your brain will shut down, you will retain the functional capacity of a vegetable at best. Nod if you understand." Nesy nodded, a little wide eyed and befuddled. "I am here, in this world, in this time, and you must find me. I am in a tower, floating in the sky. You don't remember but you and I, we were a part of the destruction of the world before this one, and now we must save what has grown from the wound we made. But it's going to be a long road, and it will not be easy...." Nesy could make out the light of what looked like a fire around the bend up ahead and he stopped. The lady up top said something about a monster, and he didn't think she was talking about the goblins or the spiders. "Up ahead is a Bugbear, a loathsome creature that is half bear, half goblin:

"It will not be easy to kill, be careful Nesy, it plans to eat the girl." Asra paused to let that sink in, Nesy creeped forward to try and get a good look around the corner, the little girl was still sobbing loudly. "If you take the path to your left," Nesy turned and saw a branch of tunnel going off to his left, "you will find the dam that it built out of debris so that it could live down here. Be careful Nesy, you are that poor girl's only hope...."
Around the corner in front of you is the Bugbear and the little girl. The girl is tied to a post hanging between two sticks, it's obvious that she is to be slowly roasted alive over the fire. You must save the girl, break the dam so that the town can have water again, and kill the Bugbear. Here are the Bugbear's stats: HP- 13 Combat Hands - 1d8 Mace - 1d12 He has a shield as well that provides defense. I don't think we need to roll anything for the shield but incorporate into your story. Here's your dice, roll your attacks and let that guide your story, let me know if this is confusing or just doesn't work for you. I'd recommend opening the link in a new tab so you can write story and use dice fluidly. Roll Good luck and don't die!
