Yeah, I didn't correct you when you said the tournament was on Papaya island, because I didn't think it was a big deal. I myself had never officially stated that it was on Papaya island. You came to that assumption on your own. 

As [@FalloutJack] mentioned, this is an alternate universe. Basically, we're mixing Dragon Ball lore with our actual Earth history. So, for the record, our story takes place on real world earth, but with Dragon Ball characters (though these characters may vary from their anime counterparts on occasion, if I feel it fits out plot better.
