[color=silver]You can choose your own. However, the skills tagged to a faction will have an NPC there that can instruct your character on that specific skill, allowing you to level it up [b]once[/b]. If you'd rather pick another skill that is not native to the faction, you're free to do so. There are other ways to level up skills in this game such as finding literature in some abandoned library, but having an available teacher is easiest.[/color]

[color=silver]You start with a total of 8 points that you can divide how you would like into your stats. I'd recommend checking the list of skills to determine where you want them. Or if you want to go the RPing route, you can make your character as you'd like to portray them. Each stat can have a maximum of 6 points so you may max out one at the start of the game.

There are ways to earn more points over the course of the game.[/color]
