POV: Bara.[/sub]

Bara waited at the corner, his body cloaked in shadow thanks to the dim lighting that was so prevalent here in the depths. And though he fidgeted he was not cold nor uncomfortable, rather he was relieved, finally glad to have been released from that stuffy hall with its even stuffier inhabitants. It wasn't as though he disliked the elders, far from it, Bara simply did not share their opinion on how the flow should be followed and found it more than ironic that they had become so content sitting around doing nothing, when only a few centuries before they had been the ones calling for action themselves. He'd even argued as much, but they shut him and the other youth down with their claims of wisdom as always. Still, who was he to question their will? They'd lived far longer than he had after all, and seen more of the future as well. And yet... Bara shook his head, pushing those thoughts aside to focus on the task at hand. An unusual one it was, yet not entirely unwelcome. As a matter of fact it even managed to excite him somewhat despite the mundanity of it all. While naught more than a simple scouting mission, the fact that it was off-world was what intrigued him most. Up till now most of his people's activities had been limited to scouting out the ancient city planet itself and negotiating with the Dealers who frequented it, so he found it somewhat strange that the council had suddenly decided to turn their gaze upward. Well he wasn't complaining. He'd been itching for an excuse to leave ever since they'd arrived. It didn't take a genius to see the generational divide was getting worse, so any reason he could find to avoid it was a welcome one, even if such feelings pressed the limits of the Adiaphora. Sighing, a motion that caused entire body to sag, Bara projected a psychic illusion as he began to move, his form shifting every so often depending on who or what he passed. His goal was the docks and the Hykri that awaited. With any luck he would reach them both unaccosted.

[sub]Location: Karbana Kinnis - The Sanctuary - Hall of Echoes. POV: The Council.[/sub]

Do you think we made the right choice? There is a sound, like water gurgling across rock, as another being sitting in the chamber moves. Yes. The reply is silent yet confident, unwavering like the midday sun. Are you sure? A different voice, more concerned than those who came before, intones quietly. There is movement yet again, followed by a lengthy silence... Finally, there is a response. Remember the tenets sister. We have gazed into the future, seen the paths of his life laid bare. Whether he fails or succeeds is out of our hands, as so many things inevitably are. As such we must be content to watch and wait, letting nature give or take. A loud shuffling, like slime coated pages being moved for the first time in ages, echoes throughout the room as silence falls once again. The discussion, it seems, is over.
