I am definitely interested in this. In fact I may have over thought my character's background, but I do tend to over think Star Wars. Anyways here is my sheet.
Name: Mura Vath Nicknames: Mar Age: 42 Sex: Male Gender: Male Species: Sephi Preferred starfighter: Fang-class Fighter Possessions of note: Blurrg-1120 holdout blaster, vibroknife, HoloLens, toolkit with a fusioncutter and other various tools in it. Personality: Hopeful, Absent minded, Driven, Self critical, Imaginative. History: Born to a working family on the planet of Isobe during the twilight years of the Old Republic, all Mar knew in his first years was peace. There had not been a major war in hundreds of years and his home was very rich from the sale of the naturally occurring Tynzo crystals. Growing up, Mar was fascinated with the stories of Jedi and other warrior heroes, like the Mandalorians, viewing them as the most interesting thing in the galaxy. Mar probably spent too much time dreaming about them as he had problems in school. However, when Mar was seven, the galaxy was changed when the invasion of Naboo happened. Though it was quickly resolved, the event captured Mar’s imagination. He became obsessed with starfighters, deciding to focus his education on them. As Mar got older he found employment making repairs on Sephi flyer craft. During this time Mar tried learning to pilot a flyer, but quickly became discouraged when he crashed it on his first try. Mar decided to focus on repairing craft for now, as he knew that was something he was good at. He did this until the Clone Wars broke out. With a war to supply, most jobs on Isobe became involved with the production of Tynzo crystals, which were needed in the construction of starcraft. With no employment available anymore in his field, Mar made the decision to leave Isobe. He drifted around for a few months before finding employment at the Kuat starship yard. Mar remained there for most of the war, feeling safe in the Core Worlds. That changed when Coruscant was attacked and the Supreme Chancellor taken. Fearing for the safety of his family, Mar quit his job and returned to Isobe to be with them. He had only just arrived when the formation of the Empire was announced and the war officially ended. Like most citizens, Mar rejoiced the end of the war. However, a month later, Mar tried to get his job back at the starship yard, only to learn that under Imperial rule his job was now given to a Human. He was offered a janitorial position, but Mar declined. He then spent a year on Isobe, finding odd jobs. In that time the Empire tightened its grip on the galaxy. Disgusted by this, and how the royal family of Isobe was supporting it, Mar left for the Outer Rim. For the next few years he would be commissioned to fix crafts of various types, including starfighters. Eventually, Mar established a nice life for himself, far from the Empire. But things would not last as the reach of the Empire extended. Mar would accept a seemingly average job to fix a starfighter. However, he was unaware that the ship belonged to a Rebel operative. When the owner came to retrieve his ship, he was followed by an Imperial intelligence agent. The agent believed that Mar was also a member of the Rebellion, trying to arrest him alongside the rebel. Mar and the rebel fled, but Mar was now officially listed as a rebel by the Empire. With few options available to him, Mar decided to join the Rebellion, becoming a starfighter mechanic. For about a year, Mar served aboard the Valorous, a rebel cruiser, as chief mechanic. This would change when the battle of Yavin happened. Rumours of a Jedi joining the rebellion made their way around the forces. Reigniting Mar’s love of the Jedi, he was inspired to try piloting again. For the next few years Mar trained in the flight simulator whenever he got a chance. Yet, he never seemed to get good enough to become a pilot. It was also during this period that he recovered a heavily damaged Fang-class fighter. Apparently it had been owned by a Mandalorian Rebel operative, before they died in battle. Mar made it his leisure project, trying to restore it to working order. After many long months the fighter could work once again. Then the battle of Hoth happened. Mar had been aboard the Valorous when the Imperial forces arrived. The Valorous was subsequently damaged aiding in the evacuation. As the rebel fleet fled, the Valorous attempted to follow. But after a few hyperspace jumps, the engines of the Valorous gave out. With the Imperial fleet not far behind, the Valorous was stripped of anything of worth, including the Fang-class fighter, and loaded onto another ship. By the time the rebel forces could regroup, many pilots had died. With an urgent need for replacement pilots, rebel command finally gave Mar his chance, even assigning him his rebuilt Fang-class fighter. Appearance: Mar stands at 5’10’’ and has a thin build. His skin is the same peach tone as most Sephi, as is his blue eyes. His orange-blond hair is kept short so that he doesn’t have to bother with it. Another trait of the Sephi is their pointed ears, but Mar’s are exceptionally long. Mar also keeps his face shaved and has no tattoos. Mar tends to dress for work, meaning he is usually wearing a jumpsuit or a uniform.
