Faction Name: Astra Militarum - 123rd Exiol Light Infantry Force Name: 22nd company - 3rd platoon Leader Name: Lt. Adrian Erest Leader Bio: Beginning a modest life in the middle hives of the world, born to several scribes who worked laboriously to keep their son from falling below the average. They paid for school, wasn't a great school, but it was something they could afford that was better than the standard. They bought things to make themselves look better than they were, mainly second and third-hand clothing that matched more upper tiers of people. Their son was of average ability; he wasn't weak or strong, stupid, or smart; he was the average in almost every way. The only part that was slightly abnormal was his luck. He would continuously guess his test questions, get almost perfect scores, and overall some of his class's best grades. He didn't know the answers most of the time, and his accurate intelligence showed when he had assignments that weren't multiple choice. I mean, he wasn't dumb, but those assignments were more in line with the average intelligence of a student. Right as he came around the age of sixteen, his father permitted him to join the local PDF, as he did not wish to continue his education like his parent's wishes. But, through hard work, some corrupt politicians, and plenty of other possibly heretical things. Their son could be given an officer's position if he did well in his first years in the PDF. Once joining, he was your standard trooper, but someone important would walk in and see him doing his job whenever he was doing his job. Most of his time, he was a quartermaster. Since his parents were scribes, it was an obvious place to put him. He was decent at math, and he had the natural ability of laziness. He can get as much work done with little effort, meaning that the armory was somewhat organized to have an efficient and not so time-consuming workday for those who staffed it. His superiors eventually made an officer, a low one with no responsibility, but an officer position. He would continue to do the same thing for a few years but as an officer. He was checking weapons in and out, making sure that the equipment was cleaned and orderly. One day the IG was looking for strapping young men and officers to fill the ranks to form a new regiment of lightfoot after the last one had disappeared in the warp and was never heard from again. Recruitment went out to all of the hives, either for pressgangs to collect unwilling recruits, recruitment offices to get willing recruits, or the local PDFs to get officers and fillers. He was one of these officers to be chosen. He was a promising young officer needing leadership and combat experience. He went right back into training. Months later, he was finished with his combat officer training and was ready to be shipped out. He and his regiment was shipped out to another nearby sector for temporary quartering. This would be Yunnalin, where the regiment was soon being used by an Inquisitor, mainly by hosting checkpoints and barricades. Eventually, he was brought up in a conversation, replacements for some goons lost on the planet. He was close to the operation area, he had a fresh platoon of men under his command, and he was a promising officer to all that knew him. So, he was sent forth to complete a mission as an inquisitorial goon under one Inquisitor Hera. w Direct Superior: [s]General Vinsect[/s] Inquisitor Hera Troop Count: 18 total - 1 Officer, 2 NCOs, 1 demo specialist, 4 heavy weapons specialists (split into teams of two), 1 AT Gunner 2 medics, 7 standard troopers Extraordinary Troops/Roster: - SGT. After reports of an inquisitorial team going dark, they are sent into complete their task and rescue any survivors. Okay, the short story is they are the closest actual unit to the operation area. The unit's officer has a lot of useful reports about him. It was recommended to send him in for both experience and competence to all who looked at his file. So why not, and hey, if they made it there, they could save a small unit of stormtroopers who have gone dark. There are only two downsides, one the group gets taken by the inquisition after, taking away manpower from a new unit. Two, they all die and it's taking manpower from a new unit which will likely have to give more units to the cause. Relationships: - With Inquisitor Hera - Unknown if the inquisitor likes us, just got orders from Hera and the old boss. - With the Adeptus Arbites - Local probably doesn't mind us that bit, we aren't the thieving kinda guardsman. They have saved some of us when drunk, so... we light them a little. - With the Adepta Sororitas - So so, we haven't met a lot of them. The guys of the platoon liked the last ones we saw, the women didn't mind them with the knowledge that if the men tried they would likely be shot. - With the Adeptus Tempestus - They may like us, mainly because they are pretty much a pomp version of us. But they are kinda dicks, the officer doesn't mind them since he may have met some of them earlier in his life. - With the Assassins - We really haven't met them that much or at all, we have no idea if they like us. - With the Astra Militarum - We are a tiny portion of them, they like our officer, they gave us food, drink, shelter, and press-ganged some of us. Other than that, the average guardsmen/woman we like. - With the Skitarii - Cogboys made pretty much everything we have, but they probably hate us for being simple human flesh bags.
