Yeah, she was upset, but who wouldn't be. Rebecca had been the one who had been teaching her magic. Who was supposed to teach her now? And she was the only one who understood Arthur's powers even a little bit. They had needed her, but she had left. His hand reached into hers, and her eyes went a little wide for a split second, but it felt right, and she gently squeezed his hand back. "Who is supposed to teach us now?" She asked quietly, voicing her concerns. Leda had been teaching her about the stories and giving her an idea of what the Greeks' world was like, but that wasn't the same. "No one else can control the dead." She added. She wanted to make sure that if she needed to control some vines and there wasn't any available, she'd have them easily tossed to the ground. As they walked, she held Marco's hand. As much as she loved camp, it was pleasant not to be there. She was startled by the scorpion and didn't like that. Mads said she had never seen one that big before. That was worrisome. Niah was in the rear of the traveling party listening to Waverly's music. It was a nice tune, and she enjoyed listening to it. Niah herself had never had much skill in music. However, it wasn't like she had gone out of her way to learn it. She had her skills, and they were on the battlefield. She understood people in a fight better than anywhere else, and she knew how to make them mad. Of course, she also knew an Oathbreaker when she saw one. There was no stopping that, and it was what defined her growing up. She looked surprised but was ready to fight quickly; however, the scorpion didn't seem to want to fight as it went the other direction. Niah nodded at Mads suggestion and took to the air. She had some control over the suit since they had spent quite a bit of time using it when they had gone to deal with the dragon. However, she hadn't used it a lot since then. In the air, she looked around and was able to see a plume of smoke. It was in the direction they were heading. Interesting. Emily watched as Niah took to the sky. Her stomach twisted a bit. It wasn't that she had a fear of heights or anything, but she liked knowing where her support came from. And with the magical armor, she just couldn't see herself trusting it as thoroughly as Niah did. She shook her head and Niah called down. "There is smoke up that way." Niah was pointing toward the top of Mount Tam. Emily noticed that Niah specifically said smoke and not fire. Where there was smoke there was usually fire. And something causing it. But Niah seemed to be only willing to say there was smoke cause that was what she saw.
